Lion and tiger unknown brand repaints

I got this lion and tiger polyresin containers at a children's toy stall downtown, two for the price of one! The sculpt of the animals are very good, but the paintwork is crude, so I repainted them :)

The tiger looks sad or bored. Maybe I should redo the striping above the eyes. What do you think?

The lion sculpt looks mean and lean like the Tsavo lions :)

I wish they had more varieties of animals, but they only have these two and a cartoonish T rex.

Perhaps the tiger looks sad with those lines....I just googeled ytiger faces. Amazing the variations there are in the lines of their faces !!!

Susanne, maybe it looks sad also because tigers are in danger of extinction  There is a study stating that the some big cats are much higher risk of extinction because they are more specialized hunters compared to others like leopards and smaller species.
