PostSubject: The KAIYODO Kingfisher (bottle caps) walkaround by Ana    Fri 18 Oct - 14:01

Some time ago, (I think this summer Embarassed ) I got request from Kiki to do a walkaround of the Kaiyodo Kingfisher. Today I finally could take these photos!
This figure is lovely, the pose and colors and everything, it's really one of my favorite items in my collection Cool Very Happy
Besides it's very small thus there will be no close ups and just a few photos from different angles :)

I just realised I should also post size comparison photos, but with which figure would it be best? Something from Schleich? Smile

Wow, amazing figure Anna! I think it's great that brands (and sculptors Wink ) can get such detail into a tiny model. Very Happy

Thankyou for those wonderful photoes, Anna, and congratulations with being the proud owner Applause

That is a precious work of art. The bird is specially atractive and with a glamorous pose. flower
Curiously, last friday, I visited an exposition of real exotic animals and saw for the first time a laughing kokaburra. Very funny looking creature , unfortunately I was not with a camera once I found the exposition accidentally. We had the chance of touching some animals like a striped skunk a savannah monitor, bearded dragon, etc. I wished I had the chance of taking a picture with the monitor but but it looks reptiles cannot take pictures together. geek Very Happy

Thank you anna for showing very good pics of this tiny jewellery cheers

Actually, I don't understand why occidental companies never made this species, well maybe it is too coloured scratch

Nevertheless it would be a great choice drunken

@Roger : I agree with you... I still can't understand why most animals doesn't want to take a family portrait with a croc geek

Yes, kingfishers are surely among the most beautiful birds, and some of most colorful in Europe. And also one of my favourites, I have seen real ones only few times, near the town I studied (kingfishers lived near the river there and I hope they still do). To me the real ones look like flying sapphires cheers

You are absolutely right, it's hard to understand! There should be at least one made by any of the big brands. scratch

Laughing Laughing Embarassed
Monitor was surely shy, anytime I approached or touched him, he closed his eyes playing dead. How it would look a zombie croc with a dead like monitor in a picture? affraid alien Wink

The kingfisher is really nice looking. I really like the base that it comes on too - all of the little water drops really help the figure to stand out more.
