Thank you, Widukind, Kikimalou, and MiniZoo. Here's another picture of my elephant:

It should be done soon enough for next week's Student art show.

Thank you, LeeAnn.
My elephant is finally done, though I actually had it finished two weeks ago, I've just been busy and hadn't had the chance to post it. The art show I entered it, as well as my other models and cane, was a huge success (until it rained) , with many positive comments on my pieces.

While baking, it actually lost balance and fell on the side. The repair job took a few days and involved the removal of the right legs, but I would say the fix is acceptable. On top of that, it had a little fall after the show was over and so is sitting on my desk waiting for me to re-attatch one of the tusks and fix a white mark on the one side. As well as my elephant, I have also planned and started three dinosaurs. Here's my first; Indominus rex:

Thanks :) Actually I had some other sculptures to do and so indy will not be finished for at least a week. But here are the ones I've missed posting:
This parasaurolophus is in 1:20 scale; almost too big for me to handle (and to think I was originally intending it to be 1:12).

The gorgosaurus is in 1:40.

After the indominus, I have planned a columbian mammoth, tropeognathus, europasaurus, and brontosaurus all in 1:40.

Wonderful Very Happy I like both models, the parasaurolophus is so quiet and noble with a delicious painting drunken

I like the Gorogosaurspose of course but the thing I prefer is the head: It has flesh and it is so different from "skinny skins on bones" theropod head cheers Applause

Thanks, all Smile
Kiki, I don't like the skin-and bone look, either. I can't think of any modern animal which has fenestrae as visible as those seen in some theropod drawings.
Maty, I use a combination of Super Sculpey Firm and Super Sculpey, but more recently I've been using the regular Super Sculpey without mixing.
Here's an American Crocodile I've been doing:

He's based on one which used to live at a local zoo but was sent back to a zoo in Florida after he outgrew his exhibit. I don't think I've seen this species in toy form yet.

Also, a Columbian mammoth.
I'm considering dropping a constant scale with my modern animals as to reduce space issues and so I can make smaller animals with less difficulty. The prehistoric animals I want at 1:40 but I don't think I'll use a consistent scale for modern animals anymore.

I'll also be going on vacation soon where I'll visit Disney's Animal Kingdom, meaning I'll have inspiration and photos for more animals upon my return.
