Here is a picture of the 2011 CollectA TWH. Not sure if the picture has been posted before but the artist who created the model, is selling it in resin also.

That is a fantastic improvement, - I wonder how CollectA permitted it, - or maybe they are smart, - now I would like one from CollectA, - never noticed it before Laughing

Thank you for the link, Rio flower

I'm always telling you that CollectA is growing but sometimes I'm not able to do people see it!
I said that 2010 CollectA horses are better than Schleich ones... I've shown it to a horse expert!
Look at the legs, are this one the true CollectA not the resin, right? The pvc model will be about 6€, fantastic, I'm starting to think about horses!Very Happy
Ok, is not looking at the camera and chuby and cute, but looks very realistic!

So you collect horses and I collect fish affraid
And of course you are right. CollectA HAS to improve to compete, I think... their Andalusian stallion is magnificent, though .

By the way, compare the Tölt of the Tennesse Walker, - and it is a VERY good tölt for that breed - to the tölt of the Safari Icey :

Oh Susanne!!! You are our horses expert!!!
I don't understand nothing of horses. unless that they are one of hte most magnificent animals of the I know!
I think that this Safari horse has a very dynamic pose, the mane and tail are according with the expression, it's a beautiful horse, but I think that legs are some fat, the belly is very near to the floor and it has a squared nose.
Don't be sad with my idiote oppinion because I know this is your 2010 favo horse!:)
Safari is great, they study scientifically the animals that they produce. I think they are trying in this figure to put the typical way that this horse moves! They pay attention with the correct shape, some muscular expression, a nice horse!:)
Agree completly with you Susanne, about the Collecta Andalusian, I must have it, it's my favo horse of all I had in my hands. Unfortunately the distributor is not selling it yet. Maybe next year.

@Philip
I'd loved to collect horses! But I use my figures to pedagogical work and different horses doesn't mean different species, but different breeds!
Has I said to Susanne, horses are beautiful animals, I love them, but I'm Portuguese like you, I need to make some options and I'm concentrated in wild life. I have some other figures from other series but this is because I'm crazy!Very Happy
Maybe somedayI'll collect, anyway I have 2 Schleich horses
Lusitano because is a Portuguese breed and Przwalski because it's a wilde horse!

But you are right, Roger , - they come from two different climates Very Happy

Short legs, small ears, - sturdy body, nose not too long, that is the way to survive in extremely cold climates where the icelandic horse has lived for over 1000 years.

Of course you know that, sorry, I don`t want to play smart;)
But it gives me the opportunity to make this comparison.

Like here the Sibirian Husky, perfect for his hard job in the snow and icy cold
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

And the Galgo espanol, perfect for hunting in hot climate Very Happy
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Both are beautyful cheers

Ups, - I am getting somewhat away from the subject of collecting Figueres Embarassed

That's the reason why I am so different from Santa Claus!:)

About the horses... no, I'm not right! Discuus about horses with you is like I'm trying to discuss football with Michael Laudrup!!!
I've learned with you a lot about Icelandic horses in the Mihnea tread!:)
Sorry I'm not a smart pupil!
Some members are tempting me to collect horses, maybe I need to do it to learn more about.
These horses are fantastic and I only know them from pictures, is hard to have a nice oppinion!
Anyway I was comparing with the Schleich you've sent to Mihnea, not with the CollectA!Very Happy
