Interested in peoples opinions on what models you consider to be the most rare or hard to find?

PostSubject: Re: Rare Models   Rare Models EmptyWed Oct 22, 2014 7:58 am

Hello, there are many, many super-rare Schleich, and probably a few figurines which are still, at this point, generally unknown.

I know of no photographs of 13410/13411 farmer/farmwife duo nor of 14075/14076 m-f zookeeper duo, which were available for one year in the early 1990's. I do know one collector who told me he saw the latter duo in the collection of a Schleich supercollector in Munich many years ago.

The blue & white 14070 zookeeper variant is extremely rare, as is, of course, the WWF 15001-15006 mounted series. On the rare occasions that they are offered for auction on eBay.de, they can fetch
prices of 150-700 euros each. Of the Koblischek special horses, the 16753 black rearing stallion is easily the most rare. I think the Classics Minis Ark is very very difficult to find.

Instead of continuing to prattle on, I'll recommend that you peruse (if you haven't already) these reference websites:

Good luck and happy hunting... cheers

Here's a super-rare special commemorative, probably the rarest of all Schleich animal figurines, since only a small number were created for a single toy show.

75th Anniversary Rabbit

Yes, I found one shortly after that Toy Fair. I know you're looking for one and I keep an eye out for one for you.
There was one on eBay.de a few months ago as a Sofort-Kaufen but at 230 euros, it was well out of
financial range... Shocked Hopefully, one will come along at a more reasonable price for your collection.

Hi there Smile
They are rare 'cause they are just retired. You always can find them on eBay, but each of those models may be expensive. I don't know when they were made exactly, but I know that it was in 1990'.

Actually these ones are fairly easy to find and can be obtained cheaply as well. They're retired but that doesn't mean they're rare. I don't think you have trouble selling them if that's what you're looking to do, however. Wink
