Does anyone know where you can get retired Schleich in the U.S.A. I looked into getting some from overseas, but the shipping to get them to America is very high.

EBay is a good choice in most cases. Also look in brick-and-mortar stores, sometimes you can find retired ones still on the shelf. Some feed stores have retired Schleich figures.

And the best option, STS! cheers

I don't know what international retailer you were looking at, but most times international sellers can ship pretty cheaply to the US. Try asking a seller in eBay.de and it's likely they can ship to you, even if their auction says they won't. Very Happy

One other option is to ask an STS friend that lives in the same country, and they can help you get figures from places with outrageously overpriced shipping or won't ship to the US in general. Good luck! sunny

I think that you can find some really nice retired models on Ebay.com. Most often they are A LOT cheaper than in European Ebays  Very Happy

Fantastic advice, I would agree with 4U completely.  Smile

Hello, the best place to collect such retired figurines is, not surprisingly, on German eBay (eBay.de). Unless you have a friend in continental Europe who will make wire transfers for you for payment, it is important to make sure that the seller accepts Paypal. Also, it is imperative that you verify the shipping amount for the figurine(s) you intend to acquire before you commit to purchase...study  Smile

Good points. I always make sure the seller will take PayPal - if they don't then I don't buy the item. And shipping cost is absolutely something that needs to be verified before purchase.  cheers

Basically you just have to get used to basic selling prices between the two (.com versus .de) and compare shipping costs to determine where to get a specific figure you're looking for.  sunny

Sorry for posting so much on this thread, but brick-and-mortar stores in the US that I know carry Schleich are Tractor Supply Company, Toys 'R' Us, Hobby Lobby, and A C Moore near me used to have Smurfs, I don't think they had animals. Razz Target used to carry Schleich, but don't anymore. Meijer has Schleich on the website, I don't know if they have them in stores as there is no Meijer store in my state.

TGF is one popular website, along with H&H, Happy Hen, and Outback Toys. Amazon has some as well.

I've found 3 that I need on TGF Toys and many, many retired ones on H&H. They will take a while to get since they are higher but I will eventually get all I can. Thank you all for your help.

If you try any local store, they may have kept the original price or lowered it. I haven't come across any retired pieces locally that have raised prices. If I remember correctly, if you order $50 or more at TGF you can get free shipping but H&H doesn't offer free shipping for Schleich.

The Jungle Store is another, but they don't combine shipping on eBay, I've found. Rolling Eyes

And as far as I know, usually at TGF, they don't rise the price for the retired items.
