Yes, still just horses. But don't worry. You don't need to look   Smile

I don't already have one for general addition, do I? I searched anyway and did not find any. Hopefully I'm not spamming the forum with new topics all the time. Wanted to create one for general things anyway, instead of posting one new for every brand I get I guess.

Yes, you got me, Susanne, I bought myself some Bullylands  Smile   tongue
They took me by surprise with how nice they are. Not at all as rubbery as people made me believe they where.

Pinto and württemberger. I like how the later looks so relaxed with his back legs. They are so lovely and wonderful. Tho I did get the wrong pinto. I like the other painting of the same mold better. My bad.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Some nice little fjords. I do very much like the foal. Just to bad the mare was scratched then I got her Sad
But I do love the details they put in, I really like the chestnuts on all the Bullylands. Even the Safari have them, and just to control I looked at some of my Schleich, who also have them but never painted.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I also got two Safari LTD horses. The abaco barb was sold out at the moment, so I got the lustano instead. All nice and cosy in their plastic bags...
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
... Until the fiercely spotted cat rips them all open... and even take of their tags from around the necks... they where to irritating, okey e:)For some reason the lustano even missed the other tag. Strange scratch
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I actually like the Bullylands more than the Safari horses. The Safari ones had as I have been warned not the best of paint jobs. And they both was a little wobbly, not standing perfectly straight. And the lustano had some paint laying very thick, hard to explain and impossible to take photos off with this specific camera (it is broken... sort of).

And here comes some comparison shoots.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Schleich fjord, you are still my favorite fjord, even if Mojö and Collecta are trying their best to win Razz
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I don't have the new Schleich icelandic. So feel free to not complain.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Lustano with andalusian... because they fit together better.

Congratulations for your new horses. I think it is a good idea when we keep our additions in a single topic. With so many activity it is hard to follow everything when things are split around. :)
I don't have a single Safari horse, honestly I like them in pictures but if in real they have the poor looking painting of some wildlife figures, I understand why you don't appreciate them. :)
I enjoy your pictures, mainly the last one comparing the Safari Lusitano with the Schleich Andalusian mare. I am tempted to say that the mare is prettiest, though, when I look to their legs and hooves, Safari look less massive and finely sculpted, maybe it is only a visual effect once mare is closer to the camera. Also, they are easy to compare once Andalusians and Lusitanos have similar conformation and while the Schleich has a slightly ponyised looking, the Safari seems to follow a little better the conformation of an Iberian horse. Very Happy

How wonderful to see some great pictures of Bullyland horses  cheers
What a shame the Fjord was scratched. She is such a lovely model !

PS, It seems that Safari is saving the little tag on the latest made models ...

I do like the Safari ones, it is monstly just nitpicking. But, yes, the paint job is not very great. The sculpturing of them are very good tho. I'm not at home right now, so I can't compare them IRL. But I think the Safari did have thinner legs then Schleich.
Andalusian and lustano was registered in the same stud book til 1966, then they splitted up.

Very nice photos and additions!  cheers

I like very much the Bullylands. They look actually very sweet with lots of personality.

Indeed Safari horses have a horrible paintjob, when comparing to other brands. Quite a shame, as they do some very fine sculpting!

I'm in love with these two safari ones. You can't see it very well in the photos, but the abaco barb sadly have some scratches and kind of... discoloring. Might get a new one someday. But I'm at peace for the moment :) And I'm incredibly in love with that arabian. The front and head looks so nice most of it <3

Thank you everybody!  Very Happy

Kind of sort of have been in the middle of moving, so it is a perfectly reasonably reason for missing some horses in the pictures. Right?
Anyway, lots of Collecta coming here.

Almost whole collection of Collecta. Missed the tennessee walker foal and grown up frisian in this photo...
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I love roans. All kind of them. So I just had to have the roan version of this mold.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
This handsome fellow is the hannoverian stallion of the group.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Here with Schleich hannoverian.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Thoroughbred, it was as usual a hard struggle between the black and bay version.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Just look at that face!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
You shall never get rid of my falebella ponies. They shall be everywhere! Oh, and wonderfully sculpted shire mare!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
With Schleich percheron.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Got the Schleich shire stallion for christmas. Here in comparison with the older one.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Scratched fellow, no full body image.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Oh, and an non-horse! This beauty is also a Collecta, a red setter.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Here in comparison with Keenway Bernese Mountain Dog and Schleich older German Shepherd. The Shepherd was one of my first Schleich I got as a kid. The Bernese I also bought as a kid. I had a picture of them with Safari Ltd white wolf and african wild dog, I do wonder where it went...

What a wonderful herd of new horses TSC!
Collecta really is the number one right now. Those hores are everyone just fantastic! All the details and interesting colors... The appaloosa is very nice, the face is adorable drunken
Funny that the Schleich new shire looks like a toy compared with the Collecta mare = D
The setter is also so good! I've seen it once, but great you have it now! Many many congrats and thanks for the great photos again! It's everytime a joy to see them Cool

Collecta horses are wonderful, aren't they?
And I totally understand your trouble with choosing between the best colour for your horses.
I've bought most of the Collecta horses you're showing recently to repaint, because that's what I like to do in my free time. And funny enough, I had trouble choosing between the two Thoroughbreds as well. Because I want to repaint them, I always buy the colour that's less appealing to me, so I don't feel any remorse.
So I decided to buy the black one...
But when I received it was so damn gorgeous, it took me over 5 weeks before I could finally pick up a brush an do it!

The Shire is one of the horses I couldn't repaint, and the Appaloosa is my favourite horse from Collecta, because of the perfect stance and expression.
I'm sorry about the blamish on your Friesian, it's such a beautiful, elegant figure.

You got the whole stud farm at once, then. I quite like your picks from the Collecta horses - and your photography certainly does them justice.

I love customized horses, but I'm not very good myself. So I have some doublets I don't really dare touch as I already have destroyed other models. Otherwise I buy all kind of horses and remake them multiple times :) But someday I hopefully will be better.
The shire mare is very wonderful. She stole my heart as soon as I got her. She, hanoverian and appaloosa is probably my top three then it comes to them. Ooor maybe the akhal-teke is sneaking in on that list too... somehow.
I try to keep it to only one colour then it comes to the CollectA horses. I'm not as strict then it comes to Schleich and Breyer tho...  scratch

Wonderful additions, you're right, Safari performed a great work with the Arabian mare and from CollectA you got several excelent figures and a masterpiece like it is the Shire mare. Very pleasant pictures too! flower

I've always liked that Schleich Poitou a great deal. Congrats on getting it (and the foal, of course) - as German-made versions, too!

Thank you, all of you :)
I don't care all to much about where they are made, but If I have the choice I always have the german ones.

I'm so slow posting new additons. Some Schleich here. The charolais cow is made in germany. My fave' of these are the okapi and roedeer. I just wish I would find the fawn and doe. And I think I need a tiny collection of okapi  bounce

Nice new additions.

And I just love those pictures! The one with the okapi especially. All the colours seems to fit perfectly. I actually scrolled up the look at the picture again. Just to see if it was still nice and each time it was better then nice cheers

Hi, again. Even if I don't respond I'm always happy having people write and appreciate my posts and my photos. And there will mostly be photos here.
Still don't have a camera, but have at least temporarily an editing program. So I have edited some old photos of things I haven't shown yet.

The same day I found the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] in a RL shop I also found some Papo in another. I was supposed to show them then but had not fixed the images before my photoshop was gone.
There where other animals, cows, sheep, dogs and pigs. But I only should afford two, so of course it had to be the horses  Razz

I also found some older Safari ltd horses some time ago. There where more of them, but I only wanted these. I find them rather charming. Funny how they are said to be 'mare with foal' but the arab is actually a stallion.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
This one got to stand with the Schleich Tennessee Walker Horse for comparison.

Some more comparison. They are just so fun to make, even when the camera hates me.
Safari LTD Old Arabian, Schleich Old Arabian Gelding, Schleich Arabian Stallion, Safari LTD Newer Arabian, Schleich Arabian Mare. Very specific... or something, get your own info  Sleep
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Collecta Appaloosa, Schleich Old Appaloosa, Safari LTD Old Appaloosa.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Collecta Tennessee Walker Horse, Schleich Tennessee Walker Horse, Papo Paint Horse, Safari LTD Arabian, Safari LTD Old Chestnut horse. Almost only the same colours. I just did not have any chestnut/palomino Safari.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Another with this dude, with Collecta dude, because apparently I believe Tennessee Walkers are the perfect horses for comparisons.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
And here, have that Friesian at last. Actually he is repainted now, but alas, still no camera. Together with Schleich Falabella foal and Breyer Stablemate foal.

I enjoyed a lot seeing your pictures, mainly those comparing models from different series and brands. Very Happy Now I understand why Safari horses are usually considered 1:24 scale although newer ones are closer to 1:20 scale as it happens with other brands. Very Happy I find the old Safari Farm Horses collection also very charming and they are more consistent as a collection than newer Safari from Winner's Circle. Very Happy
Papo are specially great! cheers
