PostSubject: Lots of hard work ´til christmas   Sat Dec 18, 2010 2:09 am

This year, I decided not to buy any christmas gift, instead I´m gonna make a clay-figurin for every member of my family, wich means 7 different figures.

First, I had to decide what to make them. Some were easy, while other where realy hard to come up with something good to make.

But finaly I think I came up with pretty good ideas for al of them.

The thing is, it takes from 4 to 10 hours to make one figure, and I have to make 7 Shocked

So thats a lot of hours of hard work. Rolling Eyes

It feels like I havent had time to do anything else for the last couple of days, and I still have two figures left to make... And then I have to paint all of them..............pale

It seemed like such a good idea at first, now I´m not so sure Sleep

The most annoying thing about doing these figures, is that I spend hours and hours of sculpting, and when it´s finaly finished, I find lots of things on it that I dont like. I´m not extremly happy with any of the figurines I made so far, but I´m krossing my fingers that they will look better when they are painted. Rolling Eyes

I will try to have them all finished by sunday evening, and then I will show you some pics of them (if I can borrow the camera from my dad)

Ok, so it´s sunday evening (well accually it´s the middle of the night) and....

I´m not finished No

I didnt realise it would take about 4-6 hours to paint each figure, so I´m only done with two of them.

Wich means I will have less than 4 days to paint the other 4 (the last one I have to wait with, otherwise I´m never gonna be finished) and I also have my regular jobb al week pale

I´m never gonna make it affraid

The only good thing is that I´m pretty happy with the two I have already finished...

Kross your fingers that I will make it in time for christmas silent

And I promise you, I will show you pics of them as soon as all are done :)

And here they are, enjoy Very Happy

For my big brother Mikael, the car-mecanic, A snake that swallowed a car

For my yongest brother Rasmus, who loves World of Warcraft, the druid cat form

For my father, who loves wolves

For my brother Daniel, his dog Zahara

My last brother, Henrik, I didn´t realy know what to make. But finaly I decided to make him a shark, shasing a seal

And for my mother, a little haflinger mare

Here´s a pic of al of them

It was a lot of hard work, each figure took more than ten hours to make. But it was worth it, I´m accually pretty happy with al of them Very Happy

But next year, I think I will go back to getting them ordinary gifts. If I have to do this again, I will probably go nuts geek

And if any of them dares to complain... Suspect Twisted Evil Rolling Eyes

Thanx guys cheers

I accually think all of them like their gifts Very Happy

Even thou my dad had to comment on some small mistakes I made on his wolf Rolling Eyes

The funny thing is, when I made the figures, the horse was the one I was the least happy with, I didnt like it at all. But when I had painted al of them, the horse was the one I was the most happy with. What a little paint can do Laughing

Well now I´m not going to do any new figures for a while, need to rest Laughing

Merry christmas santa

Ye, your right and I do like a little constructive criticism, but after working an entire week on the figurines (and I mean an entire week, didnt have time to do anything else at all) I didnt want to hear any criticism Laughing

But now, after a few days, I can appreciate it Very Happy
