Thank you Phil !! Very Happy  sunny  Usually I collect figures hovering 1/20 scale. Between 1/18 and 1/22. The topic of scales is something recurrent in this forum. I Love Lions Papo figures, but did not really go well with Schleich zebras. And the buffalos Schleich (too small) do not mix with Schleich zebras.  Sleep

Anyway it is possible that in the future I do figures in scale 1/22, I like it too. !
Remember that when you sculpt any Indian or South African species!!!  I promise they will get a good home!

Congrats! Save a copy for me please! Just some more info: did you care about the fact, that one breeding line actually has B.b.caucasicus genes in? And the Current "Caucasus wisents" are actually a mix B.b.bonasus x B.b.caucasus x Wood Bison! what was the model for the model?

Thank you Taos and Philipp !! sunny

Philter, I find it very interesting to sculpt some animal species from South Africa and India (probably in 1/22 and 1/20).

Of course I can reserve a copy for you Philipp !. I find it very interesting the information you have told us, believed that the Caucasian wisent subspecies was completely extinguished but I'm glad that something is in their genes their offspring, as in the case of the aurochs and tarpans. study
I pretend represent the subspecies Bison prototype, That is, Bison, bonasus bonasus.

Thanks for reserving one for me! It was actually just one Caucasus male, the last one. Number 100 in the studbook. But without this animal, the gene pool would have been to small.
You can find some further infos here:

PostSubject: Re: European bison   European bison - Page 2 EmptyFri May 23, 2014 5:51 pm

This ONE is a real Beauty!!!
I can't imagine how much work spent on this amazing figure. Is there a way that I can see videos on how these are made? Are there tutorial online on creating ANIMALS figures?

I know that it would have been a great addition to my Bovine family - I have not seen any place that sell this one (I know that customized costs higher then regular that we can get in the shop).

Thanks for sharing this wonderful creation with us - I can at least enjoy the picture (that were taken professionally as well).

I would really be happy to learn how these creators are done? and I would be happy to give it a try! Always thought about it from day one - how can I create my own figure? :)

Thanks for Sharing!

Tq Well, first of all thank you for the nice words about my work !! Very Happy

It is an expensive job that requires a lot of patience and concentration. For this reason and because the modeled single pieces and hand painted they have a higher price than the figures of established brands.

Will not tell you where you can find a tutorial of how the process of making these figures but in this forum there are a few artists you could perhaps better guidance about tutorials and doubts.

A few months ago I started with modeling a figure of one auroch I did with the help of several friends of this forum Ana, Andrew, Joan, Harriet .... I must admit that this first figure had many faults but I would love as my first experience. It may help : " modeling an auroch bull " (Sept 2013).

Thank you very much again and hope you have fun creating and painting your own figures and teach us!! sunny sunny

I had not seen your work before today, am very impressed and I like that you give us such a detailed description of the animal also. Your wisent looks like it could be a Papo model in its quality!
