My Antelope Collection: PHOTOS

Hi everyone

I wanted to share my collection of all Antelope models I have mainly from Schleich, Safari and Ana! I have also included the Vanishing Wild Gemsbok.

Thisisnt my full collection as I have not had the chance to photograph the remaining Noah's Pals antelopes and those from Britains and Jeol.

Some of you know how Antelope mad I am and I cant help but have a minimum of two of every model and more where I can....I just love them so much that these are my most prized models in my collection.

Great antelope collection!!! Any of the new CollectA are on my wishlist for 2012.

you not only have dups of the brand new Collectas, you have dups of Anna's figures!!! although i note they are not identical, just like the real thing.
and a male Collecta walking Sable!!!!
you are truly a man after my own heart:horned ungulates and duplicates!

That's an impressive and beautiful antelope collection with so many special figures!

Ah sorry! All fixed! The link to all the Antelope photos are working now.

I always try to collect a minimum of TWO of every Schleich and CollectA wildlife model plus select models from other brands which I think are of a good or high quality. I then like to buy those in very good or brand new condition with tag.

Only the antelopes I dont mind having 4, 5, 6 or more figures, I cant help it!

All of the antelopes pictured are just part of my model collection. Most of you will know how mad I am about these wonderful creatures. Many of the antelopes in the photos have taken years to collect and some were bought brand new in stores in Germany from 2000 onwards when I used to visit Germany alot on holiday or visiting relatives........

You will see that I dont have the Bullyland Sassaby baby! I never had a chance to buy that and even though these models are slightly larger I think it is sculpted really well. For me it is about the sculpting and pose and of course there are other antelope models I have seen which are awful but the ones in my collection I like the most.

I seriously hope we have an antelope boom over the coming next few years from all the brands along with many other animals of course ie monkeys, small mammals, Australian marsupials and so on......

I SERIOUSLY hope we DON"T have an antelope boom coming over the next few years !!!!!!!!!
Please, for the love of animal figure collecting...WE NEED THESE! More Great apes, Big cats, and then these lovelies, Hyaenidae, Babirusas, Tapir species(Bard's, Brazilian and Mountain), Hamadryas baboons, Colobus monkeys, Przewalski's horse, Gharials, Kiang, Secretary bird, Cassowary, Siamangs, Dhole, Greater Flamingos, Pygmy hippo and Spectacled bear!

I'm not trying to go against the tide, but antelope, deer, sheep/goats are not
my PASSION when it comes to animals!
I know most of this forum absolutely loves them, which I will respect, but to me
you seen one Thompson's gazelle you've seen em' all, seen one Brindled gnu
you've seen em' all, seen one Mule deer you've seen em' all and so on and so
on..... But a Bonobo for example, wow, now that's an impressive complex animal
with a lot going on mentally, emotionally and physically, that in my opinion far
exceeds that of any antelope, deer, sheep/goat! If you've ever watched Bonobos
interact in the zoo or wild(For me only zoo), they're most memorable as compared to an Antelope, Deer or Sheep/Goat.
Also to me(And I say to me) antelopes, deer, sheep/goats just really aren't as cool as clouded leopard, komodo dragons, orangs, peccary, or mangabeys...
Another thing, go to the zoo(A descent one) and see how many visitors are standing in front of the duiker exhibit as compared to watching the polar bears in their exhibit dive into the water and swim underwater! Face it, polars way cooler than duikers, so if toy company want to sell their product to the average kid, so they should make more of the popular animals, and throw in some rarer animals figs for the collectors(But we've already established on this forum that the figs are for kids not collectors).
Hey it's to each his/her own, but I hope I may have changed a few minds(With out hurting any ones feelings) to get
off this antelope/deer/sheep/goat kick.
Just to show I'm not so rigid about it... I wouldn't mind a Pronghorn figure : )

HOLY... antelope!!! Numaan your collection is breathtaking!!! When I think of the effort cost me to get one oryx and retired wildebeest ... and you have them in several pieces ... This is unbelievable! And Collecta´s antelopes, prototypes... oh...

Thanks Martin. The CollectA models are just recent additions including Ana's and Harriet's models. The older Schleich models I collected when I was much younger. Many of which I bought brand new in stores back in 2000-2005 so its a collection built over a long time.......
