My Schleich Collection

No new animal figures in the shop
so I bought these 3 with tags:

13292 Haflinger foal
13297 Shetlander
13608 Shetland foal

Had them without tag...Now with tag

By the way, - Schleich has re-used the mare as a palomino in front of the cart from this autum, because it is so nice, I am sure :-)

Wow! A very very impressive collections you have.

I am also consider new to this hobby particularly the Schleich. I started collecting Schleich some 3-4 years ago when I accidentally discover a shop here in Singapore that used to sell Schleich toys (for the past 2 years, they are selling Papo already). I fell in love with them particularly the quality and accuracy.

At first, I bought all the complete set of the smaller scale Dinosaurs for my daughter to play with. The following week and months later I started collecting the Wildlife, Replica Saurus and the World of Elves as well. But it end up as my collection already.

Until I found the LG a year later while surfing the net and I was shocked to see the older and retired figures from other members like Willy and Christophe's huge and awesome of their other older European brands. But I am particularly amazed with Phil's Schleich collections when I first saw them especially his retired Giraffes. I won't deny it, at some point, I became addicted and obsessed about this hobby to the point I even cut my allowance so I can buy more and more figures. Through the help and advised from Phil and Willy they suggested to try the Ebay.de. But since I don't understand any German language at all, Willy became my German translator. Then, I also asked Christophe's help as well to help me find some other interesting figures at eBay.de and eBay.fr. I also asked him to translate and transfer money for me since some sellers there doesn't accept Paypal. I couldn't forget when he got me my very first Schleich Warthog. Believe me that was an awesome condition and a very cheap Warthog. These men are a good men in a storm.

I also added the Papo particularly the Dinosaurs and the Wildlife into my collections when I discovered the TGF Toys from the internet. I also tried collecting Safari Ltd. But I simply don't have any luck in choosing and getting nice stuffs from them since I am only buying on line. So, I just stuck in collecting the WOW series of the Safari Ltd.

Now, I am also collecting some CollectA wildlife animals as well but haven't tried the Bullyland yet.

My collections grew up to 1000-2000% in just few months to year most especially when I added the other series particularly the Schleich Farm animals, pets and the Marine life as well.

Don't you want to add some artificial vegetation at the background of the shelves? Greenery makes any shelf with animals a real treat to anyone's (not only collector's) eye

No, no vegetation etc. Its too crowded on the shelfs to make beautifull nature like displays.
And it isnt something I want to do. I really like to see pictures of it by others, but dont want to do it myself:D

This hobby is definitely a very expensive to those people who came from a third world country like the Philippines. And I won't deny that I am crazy about it. But then, I am happily crazy about it.

Anyway, this hobby is only good while I am still working abroad. Once I go back to my country for good, obviously, I won't be able to finance my hobby anymore. So, I am enjoying my collecting hobby while I can.

Got some additions with tag:

14196 Gorilla male
14198 Gorilla young

And finally found a
14308 Baboon female

Had the Gorilla young without tag, but wanted the tag one. Needed to buy dad to (came as a set). So got 2 male gorillas with tag now. And the young baboon finally has a mother

the baboon was a nice surprise.
I was checking marktplaats.nl (sort of dutch version of ebay)
and there she was. So I had to buy her ofcourse

When I orderd it, he had 5 more female baboons with tags

I love your display and all your animals. I can't wait to see your collection grow even further. You said you are going to buy another cabinet so you can spread them out some, but as soo as you have more space, they will fill up and be just as crowded. I am like you, if I see something I like, I want all of them, not just some. Congratulations on your awesome collection and your newest additions.

Yeah well..I got another cabinet for some years. Its smaller than the one on the pictures. But im going to sell it. Im going to buy the same cabinet that I have now sometime in 2011.


I wanted to buy some 2011 figurines this month, but I found something else.
