Questions about Papo

In the new Papo catalog the ostrich is painted differently. With dark neck and knees.

For those who have the standing polar bear:
Is this the normal feet position? Looks like mine is kind of "bent" (the rear portion)...

Yes, mine is also the same. The bear is beautiful but with terrible paws!
Legs are too close and in a weird balance. I'd loved seeing Papo sculpting the not visible parts of the animals as Safari and other brands do. I also love when figures are nice from every angles and not only from catalogue angle. :)

This is usually one of Papo`s forces, - not least with the farm animals and horses, IMHO

I LOVE that Polar bear, it is one of my absolute most beloved models, - not least because I got it from a very dear friend

I actually don't really have a problem with its pose...just wondered if mine is the only one that looks this way..

Does anyone have an answer to the question if the ladder can be detached or if that and the basket are all in one? Also how tall is the tree? I found it on sale on a site in the USA - still costing $14.99. 40% off.

I found this info on Amazon I am 99% sure the ladder and the basket are not attached

Measures approximately 7.5 inches tall and 5 inches wide. Papo Apple Tree includes tree, ladder, and apple basket.

Wonder what it looks like with a deer under it? Probably not a very good ratio...

And how does the canopy material feel? Is it soft or hard? matte or glossy?

It is matte and hard, - but it doesn`t weigh very much ( weight app 350 g ), so it must be hollow

Anyone have the new Papo Oryx? I see it is available online in Europe but not in the US yet.
