In the new Papo catalog the ostrich is painted differently. With dark neck and knees. Wink

PostSubject: Polar bear question about feet position   Thu Dec 15, 2011 6:48 pm

For those who have the standing polar bear:
Is this the normal feet position? Looks like mine is kind of "bent" (the rear portion)... scratch

Yes, mine is also the same. The bear is beautiful but with terrible paws! affraid
Legs are too close and in a weird balance. I'd loved seeing Papo sculpting the not visible parts of the animals as Safari and other brands do. I also love when figures are nice from every angles and not only from catalogue angle. :)

This is usually one of Papo`s forces, - not least with the farm animals and horses, IMHO Wink

Laughing Laughing I LOVE that Polar bear, it is one of my absolute most beloved models, - not least because I got it from a very dear friend cheers

scratch Does anyone have an answer to the question if the ladder can be detached or if that and the basket are all in one? Also how tall is the tree? I found it on sale on a site in the USA - still costing $14.99. 40% off.

I found this info on Amazon I am 99% sure the ladder and the basket are not attached

Measures approximately 7.5 inches tall and 5 inches wide. Papo Apple Tree includes tree, ladder, and apple basket.

It is matte and hard, - but it doesn`t weigh very much ( weight app 350 g ), so it must be hollow scratch

TGF sent out an email recently announcing some new releases, including the Papo Bull Terrier. The first thing I did is run to the site to see if the Oryx was there as well; but no such luck.

Seriously PAPO is as serious as SCHLEICH for scale... What a Face

It means 1:20 and 1:22 means nothing for those companies, you will have to wait to have one to compare... Wink

This happened to me with the Schleich red deer stag, I found it elsewhere and cancelled my order with them. I don't think it's right to advertise as if it's in stock when it isn't.

I found a seller on ebay a while ago. I made the order and they said they dispatched it on the 2nd of July. We had been on holiday after so contacted the seller who says they have proof of postage scratch so I will contact the sorting office tomorrow.

Does anyone have confirmation that they are still making the oryx?
