Great that you begin to find information on Toyanimal.info  cheers

I think there must be about 8000 photos now, but we still have a long way to go , and a lot of information to fill in, - please remember that everyone is wellcome to help  Wink
Photoes should be good, sharp and close up, 600 - 800 pixels wide.

Oh my, thanks for the tips girls!

You're very welcome, Karin! cheers

I found two others. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is in Amsterdam as well, and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is in Heemstede (below Haarlem).

By the way, Karin, I see you're from Friesland; did you know that there's a shop in Leeuwarden which is selling Papo?

Thank you for the other sites Very Happy
Yes, and I have been there a couple of times Wink
But the don't often refill their stands with new animals.

Yes that's a pity. I talked to the shop owner and she said that they used to have twice the amount of Papo they have now, but people don't buy them anymore. The only things they buy are the knights and such, so the shop doesn't order many 'normal' animal figurines anymore.

PostSubject: Questions about Papo   Sun Jun 08, 2014 6:19 pm

Hi All,

I have just came across a new Figure from PAPO - a Stork (mom/dad) with Chick.
That is a great figure, I truly think that MOM and Baby are really starting getting along with many figures at last couple of years.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Does anyone have this?
Thanks,

You can see the most of the 2014 new items [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. In my eyes it's a interessing figure but the proportions aren't really nice.

The legs and beak look thicker in the pictures from the Toy Fair versus the stock picture. They're thicker than what they should be:

The legs make it look like an ostrich or a cassowary  Suspect

P.S. Can someone please resize the images? Thanks!

Yes... When you added the photo of real stork, now you really can see many areas with problems.. I think the color is a bit more bad in the toyfair photo Sad

I'm not into Papo so these are unknown horses for me.

Got them with a bulk of Schleich horses.

Can anyone tell me more about them, maybe?

Check it out on eBay. There are just some new models, but it's better than nothing at all. I don't know when Papo release their figures, in previous year it was in July. But in this year I already bought the new howling wolf (but he isn't arrive yet).

Could it be photoshopped ? The head looks nothing like the usual Papo-horse heads scratch
For those who do not know the model it looks like, see [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Wink

I think is is not real. If you look at the hooves, especially the last one, it is way to cropped and can't stand properly. IF this is really, Papo has to look at that XD

I'm going to buy this one today with some CollectA's figures, I'll do a walk-around.
Personally, I think the tiger will have the same line on the mouth than the 2014 lion and the same colour like the other tigers from Papo. I don't see why they would change their commercial way to paint but it is still Papo so I take the risk :)

Congratulations Florian and Tove :))
I was thinking to wait for this great Tigreco, to arrive in our bulgarian shop...
but here, everythig is coming slowly...and I just can`t wait bounce

Yes Florian, I saw your photos in Fb.
I was shure, that like a sculpture, this model is amazing..
but also, I was almost shure, that like a pint job will be not so good..
And yes, unfortunately it is like this.
It is painted just like the new tiger cubs - same quality.
But for the cubs it is ok, they are a lot smaller.
For the size of this tiger, the paint job looks poor to me.
...the same ``not realistic strips``..made it like from a child... the same missing white parts on the body, like all Papo tigers..
It is painted just like the Papo roaring tigress...bit she is from 2003..
After 12 years - for the painting style - no improvement at all.
And it seams, that Papo like very much their technology with glued parts ..and they don`t want to change it..
I think , that this great sculpted model, deserve at least a bit, better paint job.
Uhh...I have to repaint again Mad Laughing
I`m still a Papo fan....and fan of this model :)

Seams on figures are unfortunate.
But it would be impossible to paint the inside of the mouth neatly on a mass produced figure if Papo didn't take that route, I think.
It's a nice tiger. We can only wish it would have had a slightly better paintjob.

Yes, STS deserves a walk around of this important 2015 release. We are the trunk that support some branches, if the trunk dries...
I won't probably get it and my pictures are never good, though, I know soon or later, we will have an excellent topic about that figure. Congratulations to all that already acquired it. Very Happy

The positive point is that Papo can preserve a good quality of sculpt, for Schleich it's too late :)
I'm sure your repaint will be great like the others :)
I`m still a Papo fan....and fan of this model :)
