Here is the 2016 impressive Ardennes Stallion:

Love this model! Wonderful! But when i get him i will have to repaint him, the paintwork is really very simplified and the mane colour is only airbrushed. But the horse beautifully sculpted indeed!

This breed comes in a few colours, so there are some options for repaint :)

Sculpt wise - could be a tad bit heavier, but he's lovely nonetheless!

Yes, I know Ardennes are normally much heavier than this model, but for me it doesn't have to represent this breed. There are many draft breeds that would suit this nice model better. When I look and choose horse models for my collection it is for me less important if the model suit the breed and more important is if the anatomy, proportion, details and way of modelling are nice. Breed name is easier to change then badly/not atomically shaped head, right?
Maybe he would suit into Noriker breed? They also have a lot of nice colours and patterns, for example leopard

Okay wow, I don't know that CollectA can top this guy for the 2016 year. LOVE him! He is a tad on the lighter side but still he's a good draft.

Norikers have less, very minimal featherings

It's not THAT easy, it has to fit the chosen breed to be a successfull change

What an impressive model. As mentioned above, he could be heavier, but nonetheless he is still a good looking horse.

As already mentioned, he could have been heavier, and his head is too long and not typical, but me-oh-my, what a lovely model of a draughter from a lighter breed

I like classic bay horses, so I like the colour. He could be heavier, I'm afraid he is too narrow like most of Deborah's horses, as I could see the resin from different angles. But definitely stunning mold. :-)

My first impression is... what a beautiful horse, the worst part is when I try to think in it as an Ardenais. I even like his somewhat lighter built but definitively not that long head. It is a beautiful piece anyway. :)

As most of you say, I agree he is way too light build. Last years Schleich Ardennes got the heavy build much better, even though not a perfect model.

But very nice sculpt Definitely one I need to add to the heard! I had hoped for a roan colour, as I think CollectA can do that well (their mustangs).

Wonderful model but agree a little light for the breed but still a fantastic model!

To bad they are both male, we could have mates the schleich with the collectA other wise, to try and see if the foal is more balanced and realistic xD

Today arrived the Ardennais in my mail box! He is so cute!!! But much smaller than the mare... Wasn't they supposed to be a pair? Nevertheless, he is nice mold, very similar to the mare in general. Will post more pictures soon.

Originally I thought of a grey (other pattern/shadings than the mare) but since he is a completely different breed maybe another color. A nice roan or rich bay like a true Ardennais? Suggestions welcome..

Oh, I think roan would be amazing! Maybe bay roan or blue roan?
