PostSubject: Schleich Mustang repaint   Wed Aug 27, 2014 9:17 am

I have started this custom more than 2 months ago, but I have finally got some time to finish it. I wasn't sure if I should custom white Schleich Mustang since it is retired now, but the figurine seemed so boring to me that I have been considering changing it into paint horse. Finally I have decided to change the mane and tail as well. Here's the result. I am still thinking about remaking the mane once again though.

He is beautiful, such a sweet face! Very Happy
Why redoing the mane? I like it this way, it fits the horse very well.
It is your horse of course, so do what you want Wink :) XD

*maybe the hooves are suppose to be blank/pink, because of the white legs?*

Oooohh !!!! I love you drunken

Imagine that this nice, but rather booring model can be transformed into such a beauty cheers
She is awesome , just look at the face, - the muzzle, the eyes ! The pattern is beautyful too !!!
I like the white mane also Very Happy

NL is right, the hooves are light when the area above them is white, - but in dry, dusty weather they easily become grey'ish Laughing

Agata, you have great talent cheers Applause

Thank you very much guys! flower I will still change the mane probably to make it more like the tail. The difference is visible because there were almost 3 months between making these parts.

Karin and Susanne: I know what you are talking about, but I don't like that colour at all. So I have thought that maybe I should change the colour into beige? :)

I think beige is suitable for the hooves in this case. Although, I'm not the horse expert scratch

Usually when the coat is a light color the hooves are a lighter color too, but if you don't want to, you don't have to change it
I think he's amazing, REALLY.

Only thing I don't really like is the black line in his mouth, but that's something personal, maybe?

You should learn me how to make those beautiful mane.

Beige, or any pale hoof color, would be fine. Of course, if you want to change it - no one is forcing you. Wink

Beautiful beautiful mare! Excellent work on it, Agata cheers I just love her and you did absolutely great job! I like your color choice a lot and no - the mane is just fine. Please leave her beautiful mane look like that sunny Very Happy

And hey, the hooves may not be just the right color - I do "wrong" choices all the time with my horses, but we just need to do that kind of horses what we want. Very Happy I like them a lot like this Wink

Ooh, she looks beautiful!
I like her details a lot.
And it seem the customizers/repainters on STS have somthing with hooves study Laughing Well, they still can be polished :) Maybe there's another way hooves can be dark on white legs scratch (wikipedia here I come!)

That's a beautiful paint! Very Happy Usually rearing horses are just black or grey/white, something different... great! Very Happy
I only think more contrast in "hairy" parts would help giving movement to the figure. Very Happy

We are all manicures on forum, horses are completely under pop culture these days, aren't they? flower
