Here's mine:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
The area I use depends on when I move my room around, I just try to get near one of my windows. All this is is a dark blue piece of poster board, which this particular color is kind of hard to find, some of my older pics had a more gray blue board behind them and I hated it. Then I found this color again and bought two for when eventually this other gets stepped on or ruined somehow (which has happened before). Plus, I just like this color of blue. Very Happy
And of course one of my dogs insists on not moving from his warm sunshine spot. Rolling Eyes

Very Happy Very Happy It doesn't matter if you have a good camera - you need to know how to use it! And I don't usually know how to get the best result... lol! I've been dreaming about some small pocket camera so long! Maybe santa will bring you something.. santa

I finaly had some time (and space) to re-install my camera-setup at the desk in my home-office and take some shots* of it along the way.
Over time i have tried several settings for pictures of figures, but for now this is good.
(...)

I try to keep the camera fairly low, just above figure height.
Not right up against the desk, but a bit further, using a little zoom.
This prevents some distortion from a wide-angle lens.
I have just one desklight shining onto the figures in the set-up.
I set the camera to artificial light and mostly the shutter at F/11.
I use a remote-cable release to avoid movement of the camera at longer shutter speeds.

The result
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I sometimes cut off too much blank space around the figure in the picture and/or combine serveral shots to make one image.

In detail
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

*the pictures of the set-up where taken with my i-Phone4  Very Happy

I used to be a boyscout from many years.
No jungle in The Netherlands, but we surely did loads of wood-rope constructions.

Thanks Anna i made it myself, the back grounds are sheets of landscaped paper meant for railway dioramas and for the walls i used a mould for cake decorating with air drying clay and just painted them then added some fake ivy etc to hide the joins, the base is scatter grass just randomly glued on with patches of the base board showing to make it look like mud/dirt hopefully, the flowers, hedges and longer grass tufts i bought ready made off ebay as they were really cheap cheaper than making them myself and the rocks are real ones from my garden Very Happy

Thanks Steve

This is how I usually work - Unfortunately my lens broke down and I can't afford a new one next couple of months. This means I can't make any good pictures at the moment. I have a small lamp which I usually hold up with my hands, so I can regulate the light as much as I want to, some need more light than others

Oh, anyone curious, this is my desk, lol, it's CLEAN at this moment, trust me!! XD
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Oh I almost forgot! I also have this !! I don't use it often ...

At LeeAnn's request...  Here is my set up.  Nothing too fancy.

Standard photo tent with 2 photo lamps.  I then use white construction paper as a backdrop and floor which helps illuminate the brightness and enhances my subject(s) details.

As for the camera, I use a Nikon Coolpix L810.  This particular camera received mixed reviews but my wife got it as a X-Mas present for me a few years ago (along with the photo tent).  For what I use it for, it suits my needs perfectly.  Especially since my primary focus is Macro photography.

And lastly, I use Picasa Web Albums (owned by Google) to edit (Picasa 3) and host my photographs/galleries.

Here are pics of my set up:

Yes ! A black background is beautyful !!! Very Happy

You must have a very good camera !
I have tried, and white models just become a white blob with no structure at all Rolling Eyes
( Or perhaps it is the one behind the camera, that is good cheers )
