My Plaho/Marolin/Effelder collection

Hello everybody together!
I am a collector of animals of the VEB Plaho and PGH Effelder.
By many years of the collecting I have become one of some 2 real experts in this area. I have all figures of these both companies.

I still search certain colours in certain dimensions. Maybe can help me one or other from you.

To me are still absent:
the brown Aries in 9 cm
the brown bleating sheep in 7 cm
the brown Aries in 7 cm
all brown sheep in 12 cm

12 cm figures fit very good to the Schleich figures. I collect them also, but not so expansive/extrem.

The most of this figures you can buy for only one euro per each.

To the history of the VEB Plaho (plastic and wood).
The company was founded from Richard Mahr (about 1900). Cradle figures from mass (Marolin) were produced. One began with the plastic revolution with the production to plastic animals. Lineol went bankrupt, Mahr bought up many figures of it. In 1970 the company, like most in the GDR, was expropriated. Then the company was called VEB Marolin plastic. Then the company was renamed as VEB Plaho BT8 (company part eight) and became a part of the VEB Plaho. Then the company was completely integrated to the VEB Plaho. After the case of the wall in Germany, the former owners, namely the family Mahr got back her property. Ruined and many figures broken. Today, therefore, some are so expensive. The communists hardly repaired what was defective, was just defective.
The company became again the Mahr GmbH and produced some time still the plastic figures.

VEB Spielzeugwaren Effelder, PGH Effelder produced in Thüringen Mengersgereuth/Hämmern Werk Effelder. This company is famous about the NVA soldiers, also last in plastic. Some know this figures from the Lineol soldiers.

Pteranodons - GDR products

Every year gigantic zebra cookers from the Serengheti move in the Masai Mara. This yearly train is an imposing play.

I will show some figures and colors from Plaho and Marolin. All figures are in plastic.

In the first years the figures were still taken by hand from the form. Then the figures with air pressure from the form were pressed. This increased the production considerably.
Hence, the quite old figures do not have the impressions in the red circle.
