Got a great deal in these. I mean nowhere as good as the doves, but with shipping just under US $6. And they were NIB.

Nope. Not forgotten. I was going to wait for Roo's birthday or me to finally get your package off to you.  But as I FINALLY mailed yours after almost two months, I'll post the pics either tonight or tomorrow.  Off doing laundry at the moment. :)

But since you waited so patiently. :)

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I've been a bit pre-occupied with random stuff of late. Many, many, weeks ago, Karin kindly agreed to do a trade with me.  The kids were very excited when the package arrived - Abby wanted to see her "Pink Horse" and Roo his Schleich Octopus. With the calm of boiling water, they waited for me to open the box.

Karin had thoughtfully included several other items which got oohed and awed over. Or excitedly bubbled about. Your choice.  I'll post more pictures later.  (Thanks for the chocolate, Abby stole it, and believe it or not, ate part of it without batting an eye. :) )

Nice to see trades between great members! Very Happy I am afraid, that with shipping increasing everywhere, these great and friendly trades will turn less common in future. Congratulations for your and your kids' new figures! Very Happy

Package from Karin, part 1 :

January 22nd, a box came. It took me a little to realize what it was.  It was a fabulous box full of fun things. :)
Sorry, Karin for the delay in pictures.

Mr. Octopus came, bearing a gift of a shiny stone for the local octopuses' collection...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The gray kudu joined his new family and other representatives from the Wilorvise Association of Ungulates.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The dinos went on a rampage photo op. of Chicago

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The shark was no longer the biggest fish in the sea and with friendly companions he was okay with that:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The penguin, spotted cat and dog formed a new clique as they staked out space on the computer desk -the better to internet with:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The rhino fit in the middle, officially creating a small family:

And the other two are off on childhood adventures (they'll be part 2 when I relocate them). The stickers were used with happy abandon. And mmmm... 85% cocoa :)

Thanks again, Karin!

cheers Applause cheers cheers I love you
These photos are fabulous and I am very happy to see that all the animals are happy and with new friends. Sorry for asking, I could have just waited a bit longer Wink Embarassed Laughing Abby ate 85% chocolate without batting an eye, wow! I remember when I was young, I HATE the taste of the bitter chocolate. But now I enjoy it with little bits :3 Thank you for these awesome photos. I will do my best to present your animals when they arrive here Very Happy

And indeed, shipping costs aren't fun anymore Sad I trade quite often, but I have to hold back because of those darn shipping costs. So I am very lucky and happy that I could do a great trade with you Very Happy

I did, I did!

I thought it was coming yesterday and accidentally opened the door to find Evangelists instead of a Postal Worker.  Teach me not to check first. :)  (At least they were nice enough not to linger when I looked like death warmed over. :) )

Knockoff or not, the little girl offering the zebra a piece of grass is so sweet and tender!
Gentle zebra just standing there while the adventurous child is trying to befriend it makes this piece absolutely adoring <3

No, not sure.

I can only say that it came in one piece for the zebra and was a bit more bendy then the others I've encountered. But perhaps there was a change in composition due to not wanting legs to be too brittle? I suppose I may have just assumed it would be in multiple pieces.

If someone else has a genuine straight-from-established-source one, I'd love to compare.

My daughter kept trying to steal the little girl. "No, dear, I did not say you could keep the little girl. Give her back. thank you." So she agrees. :)

It might very well be genuine and I just expected something different.

According to the way they are packed, the zebra does indeed come in one piece.
What a funny series of figures. Never seen them before.

Ah, thanks Andreas. She'll probably end up with the girl anyhow.
Thanks, Simone. For some reason I was thinking it was a multiple piece figure.
Obrigada, Roger.

Sorry, I forgot to respond and then it cleared out of my "not read yet" list.
---

I managed to get a really good deal on this little kitty.  "I'll never win this one, someone will bid higher than $2.00." So, it was much to my surprise when I received an email saying "you won!  Now pay for it to make it yours!" (I do feel a little bad, because shipping had to have cost at least twice the amount I paid if not a little more.)

The packaging deserves a note I think, because it made me smile more than the actual figure. The outside was this boring brown paper, and inside, well... they know the art of presentation:

Great collection so far! I love the little cat you recently acquired. The painting on it is excellently done. I also saw that you also have an excellent collection of sealife. Keep up the amazing collection!
Thank you. :)

So. I finally found a North American yowie. The California Condor. On phone so pics are being funky. Susanne wonderfully added it to the wiki. Thanks.

I've been busy working on a project for most of this year and it has finally entered the next phase. So I will probably not be very active but will be stopping by. Excuse me, I need to go attend to my real life "replica". :) She's doing well, thanks.

Yes, I still have plans to get your package mailed out this year, Noemi. Hopefully in this next month or so. Thanks for your patience.

On the first day of DINOvember, the most adventuresome of the dinos climbed the new piece of furniture to see what the human's fuss was all about.  They were met with a curious sight.
