CollectA 2015: WILDLIFE - Long-Tailed Chinchilla (88722)

Here is the rare long-tailed chinchilla (Chinchilla lanigera), an endangered South American rodent. This model was sculpted on a real photo of a 'sitting' chinchilla. The even rarer short-tailed chinchilla was also considered.

This is the South American animal I was referring to previously, I am sorry but there is no Coati however it will be added on to a future list....

I do not remember seeing a Chinchilla sculpt by any of the major brands before.....enjoy!

Ha this will be a small model in line with all other similar Schleich rodent sized animals. I don't know scales but it will be small and will fit in with other small mammal models we have in our collections....

It's absoultely strange that none of the great companies ever had released a chinchilla. Always there are guinea pigs or hamsters...but now we have one and this is also a must have for me Thanks Collecta :)
