13616 pinto stallion: the same?

I got the pinto on the right today, and as you can see, his pattern is a bit different. Both are made in China. The only difference on the mold is that the older one has short inscription whereas the newest one has the complete adress (I don´t know if I can explain myself )

EDIT: the newest has blue eyes (well, the old pinto also has blue eyes, but they are only a little blue, they seem to be more greyish than blue... Just see the photos )

Yes, it looks like they've simplified the pattern over time. Mine were like that too (unfortunately since customized, so I don't have pics), I remember the newer version missing most of the smaller spots. Guess they decided it took too long to paint.

I think you´re right. What I´ve seen is that molds with short text (oldest) have the "complex" pattern, and models with all the adress (newest) have the simplified one.

BTW, mine is made in Germany, and is a bit different from your eldest one

I had one like yours, but I customized it xD

And about the helmet... I don´t know, we call it "careto" in spanish, but in English I have no idea. I´ve heard about "bald face", but I´m not sure :)

That's a very interesting info about these two Pinto's color variants.

The one that I have is also made in Germany, it has grey-blue eyes. Here's a picture:

It seems the Chinese ones and German ones are very different
I will have to aske my Danish collector-friends to start looking for a Chinese one for me

I see a lot of portuguese versions is in the sea animals.. I have 5.. 4 of them are made in Portugal!

I think we can only say if it was made in Portugal, if somebody has one.

But there are some nice "Made in Porugal"-stuff

I have some Portuguese horses, but not this mold. It would be fine to see one Portuguese pinto stallion!

Haha, I know this is an old topic but I was scanning through last night and noticed although similar, mine has a couple of minor variations aswell. The main one is circled in red, looks more hand painted than the rest!! He also seems to have a couple more spots near his head and shoulder. Look hard to compare, but still different! Mine is 2006. His name is Walter.
