PostSubject: Play Visions Jelly-Bags Fish   Sat Dec 13, 2014 1:50 am

Alright, well, before anyone gets their hopes up, PV isn't making anymore plastic animals. But they do have some strange jellybags for sale. They contain what appears to be 3 freshwater fish. The only one I can properly identify is the siamese fighting fish aka beta fish. And possibly a guppy? I plan to buy one of these jellybags and stab them open over a trash can, and recover the fish for myself.

I like the fish, the yellow fish looks similar to a yellow tang, and would make a good addition.

Play Visions is also apparently still distributing these... I can't figure out if they are rubber derivatives or the same ones we can find in the tropical fish set from 1998.

I will try to buy them soon and review them.

Yeah, that is the one that looks like a guppy to me. He's probably my favorite. I love his purple flashy tail (looks red to you) and I love the black poka dots on him. Growing up, my dad had two guppies and they both had thousands of little kids. Laughing He said the daddy guppy was the prettiest because he had a distinctive blue dot that was very beautiful. And all the babies were born with that same blue dot! He told me that the mom kept trying to eat her hatchlings, so he bought a little "baby chamber" where the baby fish could swim in, grow, and be away from their cannibalistic mother. My dad had lots of fish growing up. And now I grow up with plastic ones. Laughing
