Yep, you read that right.

A plastic Goat to a.... dog?

I know, I know. That's a little out of the laws of nature, riiight? Razz sunny

Well, thing is, it's called seeing the angel in the stone.

This cheap plastic goat is becoming a 1:12 scale Saint Bernard, and all because of one thing - vision.
It's about SEEing things.

Originally it had ears and horns, too, and looked like a normal plastic goat.
But I started looking at it - and looking at it, and suddenly it dawned on me - there's a Saint Bernard in there!
Did a few sketches and referencing first, and, sure enough... he began to appear!

There's a bit more than meets the eye - first I had to remove the ears, horns, and actually lower the hocks. I'll have to find an original photo to show how even that's changed.
Then I 'edited' with my knife a bit more...

After that I started sculpting. All clay additions were done today. He's progressed pretty far. As we can see, he really did have the shape of a Saint after all.

A close-up at the beginning of Clay formation. No, it doesn't look like a dog. ...yet.

In fact, it kinda looks more like a Brahman cow. Hope!

Half an hour later...

Now we are gaining some serious form.

Looking like a dog...

Like, we even have feet!

And, finally, after about 4 hours total, this is where we are so far.
Details added, drying, and looking very much like a Saint Bernarded Goat.

Obviously he's not done yet. There's still a lot to do.
But I'm pretty happy with the rate of progress not to mention just how well he's turning out.
In fact, I'm stoked. Yippee yahoo.

Keep checking though. This Will be updated.

Very cool. That dog will always have the soul of a goat. He'll be able to eat anything.

How very creative cheers
Goats are actually pretty good in turning into dogs, I once customized a goat into a dog too, never finished it though Rolling Eyes

Your st. Bernard is turning out great, he has a very sweet face I love you and I like the fur texture too. Can't wait to see more of it's progress bounce

Hello dear friends,

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you all!
So far he is still the same, albeit dry not wet now, standing and waiting for his next step.
But.. it is so near to Christmas and I won't be working on that holiday! Yay, only 2 days to go!
In other good news, I finished my last Christmas commisson sculpture. 20 in 2 weeks - now that's an effort!

Bring on the holidayss... and Merry Christmas to you all!

Your vision is miraculous... What a transformation. I can't wait to see it completely finished. Great job!
