PostSubject: The Animsaurus Collection    Fri Jan 09, 2015 2:31 am

Hello STS

I will be commissioning Artist Brandon DeMoss to make dinosaurs in 1:32 Scale, and he gave me permission to make this my own line of models I dubbed the Animasaurus Collection.

Currently there are 200 species on the cards, and most are to be in 1:32 scale, however there are some species that are too small for this, so i had them made in a different scale that puts them at around 3 inches.

To see the list Of Potential models [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

We have also made a couple 1:50 models thats were a part of the original intention for this line. They, and all the other Animasaurus models will be avalible at

Classic as in an old name that the scientific community no longer accepts, but it is stuck in the minds of almost every layman. Brontosaurus is that dinosaur, but that ha-sent stopped one paleontologist from keeping it in a Valid Genus name, so he named a new Sauropod Eobrontosaurus in honer of the old name.

Eobrontosaurus is the Sauropod i hinted at.

I have a list of Dinosaurs i wish to do fro this line, and its a LOOOOOOOONG one. I tried to pick ones that are both common, and uncommon, as well as choosing dinos that lived at the same time and place as another. This Lurdusaurus is running, because i plan on commissioning a Eocarchia (relative of Giganotosaurus) to chase after it.

I can only Commission 3 animals at a time, because Brandon has work on other projects for other people. Right now the Lurdusaurus is closest to being done. and i Sent money out to make a Irritator, and now im saving up for a Third one, The Eobrontosaurus.

Very ambitious lists! Shocked
I am glad seeing some "Portuguese" dinosaurs there like the lourinhanosaurus, dinheirosaurus and miragaia. Very Happy
By the way, I see that you fortunately, and contrarily to what is usual, you're using the scientific name instead of genus as we often see with major brands. So, I suggest that you change in your tables genus name for scientific name. Very Happy

Your right. I should say Scientific Name instead. Yes, i made an effort to Pick specific Species for each of the dinosaurs. Of course Not all of them are Guaranteed to be made, and like i said, i can only commission 3 animals at a time. I have two in production, and the one that's closest to being done is the Lurdusaurus i Posted in the first post.

Here is the 1:50 list in a new format.

Is it better or worse? (Please note I am trying to organize it by putting the animals in alphabetical order)

Glad someone says so. Because the original list format will be deleted. I am thinking of doing something similar with the smaller species list.

I made some changes to the lines. First, there is no 1:4 scale line anymore, and some of the dinosaurs that were in this line have been moved to the 1:12 line. Also, Animals that were 3 meters in length have been moved to the 1:50 line.

I hope none of you mind this, and if you do, i can consider bringing it back to the way things was.

I think it was a sensate decision. For a starting project I think it is better to concentrate in not many collections. :)

I am also Going through all the species, and looking up the formations they were found in, to make sure most of the dinosaurs has a contemporary. So far, so good. Though there are some that are loners because i cant find any information besides the country it was found in (Examples: Turiasaurus, Daxiatitain), or because it was the only creature from that formation(Atlasaurus, Silvisaurus, and Sonarosaurus)
