PostSubject: Retired 2015?   Sat Jan 10, 2015 11:49 pm

I've seen topics for Schleich and Bullyland retired in 2015, but what about the other brands? If I'm just missing the topics let me know and we can ignore this post, but if not I'm curious if anyone can find out? (few companies actually respond to my emails). Thanks for any help! Very Happy

- The lovely Ardennais and foal and the white Arabian
- Dalmatian pup standing and ( Sad ) the weimaraner
- White lioness, black swan, and white young lion

Well,I can unfortunately remind everyone of something really noticeable retiring this year:The entire Carnegie Collection dinosaur line due to Safari Ltd. parting ways with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and thus losing the licence to continue producing them...
But on the plus side,Safari Ltd.'s Wild Safari Prehistoric World line (which right now rival the Carnegie line in detail and accuracy, thanks to Doug Watson's sculpts) is still going strong with no end in sight as the UK based Everything Dinosaur has said outright that there will be a number of new releases next year. There is some good news in that according to some store owners, there are things in motion that they say they can't talk about right now.I'm just guessing, but it sounds like a new larger scale line coming relatively soon, much like the way the Wildlife Wonders Line started very shortly after the Vanishing Wild line ended. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
This may not really mean anything, but there's something very interesting I found on Safari's site.
On their main page,in the text below the "Welcome to Safari Ltd." heading, they have some highlighted words that are links to other sites when they are clicked on.For instance,Wildlife is highlighted to link to the WWF,Mythical Creatures links to a Wikipedia page on the subject, and dinosaurs leads to a page from the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History.Could this have a little something to do with what the store owners can't talk about yet I wonder? Very Happy

You can see it here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Update
All the links on Safari's site now go to their respective product pages rather than to any outside pages.
