Susanne's 2015 newcomers

Today I got a parcel from Yvette , - again !
Eeeek ! I have been so exited , and here you see why

Last week Yvette sent me a mail that she was bidding on an old composition-draught horse, and if the seller had something I was interested in ?
Ohh, yes  

She won two great models for me, - both some I have wished for a long time
Tipple-Topple dromedary from before 1940, - in great condition

And a large, lovely, beautyful grumpy looking turtle with golden skin and fantastic paintwork on the carapace
He is from Elastolin app 1950 - ?

AND ! A hundred ( +/- ) little bears as a gift

So wonderful Tipple-Topple dromedary and this lovely turtle ..both with perfect condition..
The paintwork of the turtle is realy fantastic :)
The ``strange cute monkey`` is so charming :)

Congratulations Susanne, from that Chap Mei sailfish that is very beautiful, it has a good presence actually!
However, your vintage dromedary and terrapin are my favorites. The cruel part is that when I was crazily enjoying your Tipple-Topple camel, you charge us with that hollow plastic Elastolin dromedary that is an incredible piece, hard to think in a better sculpt than that.

Recently we were mentioned E-shop "Sandspielfiguren.de" here at the forumn, and I was careless enough to táke a look around there

So yesterday I got a little parcel of goodies from Lisa Weise. As always neatly packed with a copy of the invoice in a nice envelope, - and a wonderful gift !!!!!

Two lovely, little birds by Elastolin, - a bittern ( In Jutland where I live called Horsegøg, - horse-cuckoo because if the sound it makes with the wings)  and a crane.
I am not sure what kind of crane, there are at least two kinds of cranes with red on the head.

A lovely Shar-Pei by Bullyland :

And then : One of the rarest dogs from Bullyland : The tan French Bulldog  
I already got one, whic a nice lady made especially for me, but now I can compare with the mass produced ones.
Here they are together with tha dark tan one that Yvette got for me :

It is not easy to see the difference, but the latter one as a bit more reddish and shiny.

I got some plastic marolin models with the same mould as VEB Plaho, just for fun, in order to compare ....
The look exactly the same , paintwork and all.
In Thorsen Berg's wonderful booklet about Plaho, I can see that Marolin took over the Plaho moulds in 1990, and continued producing some of the models for a while.

And then the gift : A very lucky Schleich Border Collie had his own bag, and a HUGE bone to chew on during his travel to Denmark

I can only recommend Sandspielfiguren.
They have a nice range of current models, and sometimes you can find the most surprising oldies, all at very reasonable prices

Congratulations with your additions, Susanne, they're wonderful I really have to check this site out as well.. Looks like she has some wonderful figurines for sale!

Everyone has good experiences from Lisa's shop, including myself. And these extra gifts are a fantastic operation of charm. It is fun to try to guess it. I received two Safari toob figures, a raccoon and a beaver.
That's also a very unusual shop, a real collectors shop where we have figures that we cannot find in regular shops.
I tried to make a quick search to know what your crane is but I was not successful, maybe someone can help you identifying that little wonderful figure.

Today I got four interesting models !  
Perhaps not very beautyful, but I love them very much anyway

This ostrich is from the Italian compagny FIGIR !
I had to glue the neck, and he has a problem standing, but if he had been perfect, I would not have been able to afford to buy him

Some details, - you can't blame the designer to lack humour

He fits perfectly to my two other ostriches from two Danish makers of Composition models in the mid-1900s :
FIGIR, NEO-FORM and Danolin

An elephant from Marolin.
I was quite surprised when he arrived, because the seller had written "Massefigur" ( Composition model), and he is hollow and made from Papier-mâché !!!
But never mind, he is my only model of Papier-mâché

He is hollow, and It is clear that he is made from two halves :

The eyes are of glass and glued on, - WOW !

The lion is also from Marolin , and he is a composition model :

His wife from Marolin and he are clearly not from the same series, but they were very happy to meet
