Hello, let me share my august additions:
When I got the second Percheron colt from Yvette, and realized, that he is different from my previous one, I thought he could have also the different mother.

So I commissioned this amazing repaint of regular Percheron mare:

It is repainted by one of most popular Czech CM artists, Rzdemetri Horses. Look at those dapples!

And the detailed eyes:

OF and CM comparison:

And finally the complete Percheron family:

I also bought the Simmental/Fleckvieh cow and calf, as they're retired since this july. I've always wanted them, but they're hard to find now, especially the cow.

They're lovely. I especially love the cow, she is so detailed and looks very gentle:

I only dislike her overfilled eyes (my is made in Tunisia) and lack of paint here and there. But she has nice bonus - "freckles" on her udder. I actually saw something like that on real cows:

And the calf is also very cute.

They're my Schleichs number 100 and 101! (when I count also the accessories)

You take very beautiful pictures! These figures are nice but in your pics they really look even better. Your collecting numbers are also taking good shape. Laughing

Ladies and gentlemen,
my pleasure to introduce to you Glisando:

By Graphit, out of Odessa. My first complete Exclusive family. (and also international, mother from Aachen, father from Munich, son from Vienna Very Happy) As there were these magazines with Exclusive foals, and I got the Lipizzaner one, I prayed also for an exclusive Hanoverian, even more when I got the stallion from Yvette. So this little black colt is my dream-come-true!

His mother was one of my two first Exclusives, my sister brought her (with Müller Lipizzaner mare) to me as a Christmas gift from her bussiness trip to Germany. That's why she is special to me  I love you I'm happy she can join my broodmares now.

Here are my first two Exclusives with their offsprings:

And a quick comparison of special and regular run: both are lovely, I would only appreciate some shading on the exclusive one, black foals are often dark grey instead of solid black.

Thanks to this little fellow number of Hanoverians in my collection reached 17.

And there is another special addition. When I was looking for the Horse Club magazine with the Hanoverian few days after it was released, it wasn't very easy in Vienna. Luckily, I found a comics store called Morawa (what is funny, cause the area, where I live in my country is called Morava) with last piece. But surprisingly, they had also one with Andalusian foal from previous year.

I bought it, though she is orphan in my collection, at least for now...

Now I have three Exclusive foals, all are from one of my favourite cities - Vienna.

Hi,
look who came last month:

It's 16309 Irish setter from 1995, quite rare, at least in our country. It came from collector from our capital, who purchased it from someone from Germany. I love it, though it isn't as elegant and athletic as for example Breyer Irish setter, but it has proper dark red colour and typical head shape:

And as I was looking after a female Irish setter for two years when I was younger, and have learnt a lot about dogs from her, setters will always have place in my heart I love you and this figurine has definitely the loving and loyal expression I remember from the real one.
7

Here is a comparison with my very first Schleich - 16330 Border collie

and with 16307 St. Bernard, these are my oldest dogs (the St. Bernard mold is from the same year as the setter, but I have later colour variant of St. Bernard, from 2006 I guess):

It's actually third setter in my collection, and the only one with real colour (the sitting is unknown company, it's from my childhood, the other standing is Procon, and it has stood at my table and sunbathing for too long, so it's colour has turned to khaki on head, both need to be repainted seriously):

Thank you, Susanne and Andreas.
I also like how they're different, but what is same are the heads up looking at you and waiting for what they can do for you. I had quite strong bond with the setter I kept, and she always looked at me that way. Sometimes, I had feeling she would follow me even to hell...

Very fine photos. In my opinion this Irish Setter is one of the best dog figures by Schleich in the older time.

Thank you :-) It is definitely one of the older Schleich dogs. And I was surprised how nice are these old dogs in general, I really like the Münsterlander for example.

I also like very much that Setter. Even before collecting dogs, I acquired some retired Schleich figures in a lot and I traded most of them. Though, when the requested figure was the Setter, I couldn't let it go and it is still with me. Very Happy

My another November addition is second repaint of Schleich Percheron mare. The artist, who repainted her offered me her together with some commissioned repaints of MW and Stone Chips.

She is beautiful dark mealy bay (pangaré) with large white markings.

I like the shading around muzzle:

I will probably show her as a Silesian Noriker or Czecho-Moravian Belgian, what are our national variants of Noriker and Belgian Horse.

So I have two beautiful repaints on these mold by talented artist.

And my first small conga:

I wished Schleich could get back to these old days. This Percheron is a great figure and those repaints are even better. Your pictures are also great and now you belong to the conga club. Laughing

Thank you very much Roger, Jonas, LeeAnn and Susanne.

The Percheron mare mold is very well sculpted and it's one of two only continental draft mare by Schleich. I was never excited about the OF colour. Luckily I've got one in very good condition and now I have even three with these two amazing repaints cheers

PostSubject: Re: My new (retired) additions   Sat Mar 18, 2017 10:39 pm

While January (for me) was in sign of new Breyers, February was in sign of new special Schleich.
Yvette was so kind that she ordered for me some Exclusives from the new online store, and she bought for me also the Horse club magazine:

I was so excited when they came, not only about them, but also about gifts that Yvette added cheers

Let me share some seperate photos + comparisons:
First is 82937 Spanish bull, previously available only in Spain, on 13613 Rodeo bull mold

He is the second bull in my collection. The charcoal black is charming. I guess he's supposed to be Spanish fighting bull (Toro bravo), but as he's on rodeo bull mold, he is quite heavy. Maybe he could be Black Andalusian cattle, but the pose fits better to Toro bravo.

I like the mold, but don't have the regular rodeo one in my collection, cause I wasn't fan of the "vanilla bourbon" colour. I like the black one more.

I was very excited about Hereford cow (13764) and calf (13765)...

...because my Hereford family is complete now, and my first bull is a sire cheers

Maybe their conformation isn't perfect for this breed, but I really love the specific coat pattern of Herefords, which is easily recognizeable with red body and typical white areas (head, tail tip, legs, belly and characteristic ridge on back of neck). Interesting thing is that parents have their white areas masked, while the calf has masked only head and ridge. His legs, belly and tail tip are painted in white over the red coat colour.
(I'm afraid it's not visible on the photo).

He is exactly the same mold as 13642 Fleckvieh/Simmental calf. I must say I like the simmental's calf paintwork more, it's done more properly.
But the cow (I wanted her since she was released in the United States) is slightly resculpted from the 13641 Fleckvieh/Simmental cow:

Not only their heads are different...

...but also their udders:

The Hereford one has smaller udder, what I really appreciate, as it's a meat breed (despite the Simmental which is both meat and milk breed)

Last adult cow in the package was the 82948 Allgäuer cow produced for Müller drugstore:

Mine has two same Schleich tags (one upside down), instead one regular and one 'Exclusive'.

I love this figurine, the mold (13134) is from 1999 and is from the golden era of Schleich, and my very first Schleich cow was the 13256 Braunvieh/Brown Swiss. They both belong to a same group of brown mountain cattle. And I've made a collar with a bell for her years ago.

They're both very special to me.

And there were more cattle additions in February:

13111 black and white calf, colour variant from 1995. This funny boy is now the oldest cattle figurine I have.
He inspired me to finally get this lovely little heifer, who was on my wishlist for years:

Cause I have the mother for her.

She is the only heifer among all the little bulls:

So I got many nice newcomers to my cattle herd thanks to Yvette, but also to the sheep family - 13284 lying and 13285 standing lambs.

The standing one was my second Schleich model, and now I have a variant - my first (right) is Made in China, the new from Yvette is Made in Germany. Both are quite light, but they're different - the China one has more shading on its body while the German variant has darker hooves.

And I also got a bonus horse!
13712 Camargue foal. I like model horses with ears turned in different ways than just forward.

And seems that my old Camargue mare has now a baby to look after.

Cause this filly is just fidgety and is always running around.

And the last of the package is the Knabstrupper foal from Horse Club magazine, my fourth from this series.

I like the mold, with subconvex head, the colour is interesting, though I can't say whether is it chestnut or something else (its spots are black, but the legs and mane are dark chestnut).
So a new addition to my Knabstrupper family:

But I'm considering the old Trakehner as the mother, cause they look very much alike:

Thank you very much for your attention and thanks again to Yvette for these amazing additions!  cheers

Congratulations! cheers Such lovely additions Very Happy

Actually, I'm in love with the Allgäuer cow. I visited the region last summer, and I even brought a visit to the Müller store in Kempten (one of the largests cities in the Allgäu region). Unfortunately, they didn't have the Allgäuer cow special, otherwise I definitely would have bought it Very Happy

I'm completely done with Schleich's horses from the last few years, but I must admit, that Knabstrupper foal looks lovely drunken

Hi, in March, I got only one newcomer, it's one of my wishlist with retired figures:

13719 white goat. I really love her, very nice model. Detailed and realistic.
Here she's meeting her cousin produced the year before:

These two are the best goats by Schleich for me.
And here is my current complete flock of goats:

It's difficult to take a group photo, especially when everyone is looking in different direction Very Happy
I'm curious how the new brown goat looks in person, maybe I will update my goat collection with her.

I'm so busy because of my studies, that I had no time to share even my april additions.
It was foaling season!

But the Shire foal looks more like a weanling thanks to loss of baby fur and both of them have no mother in my herd (at least for now) so it's not proper foaling season.
I bought the Shire foal mostly because it's retired and just for the detail of losing fur - it's interesting and very rare among model horses. I'm not a fan of the new Shires, though I allready had the father. (I really don't understand why I did buy him with his ginormous head and alien eyes).

The foal is my favourite from the family, but I like the previous version much more.

It was my first foal by Schleich and will always stay among my favourites figurines. It's awkward and cute just as real foal.

Same as the Shire, the Friesian filly has only father for now. They are very much alike.

It's the variant from April Horse club magazine, that Yvette bought for me. It is made of charcoal black rubber compared to previous version, which is made of brown solid plastic and painted to black.

I like the current Friesian mare, so the filly will get her mother later.

But it was another exclusive foal that got its mother - the Andalusian one.

I bought the mare on model horse show directly from a collector, it's in perfect condition and was for very good price.

It is beautiful and elegant mare, I wonder why I didn't purchase her earlier.

Horses weren't my only April newcomers, Yvette sent me also this very nice ewe:

as a mother for lambs from her.

So my small flock of sheep is slowly growing.
