CollectA Woodland Caribou - WOW !

Many of you probably already have this beautyful model , but I grab the opportunity to make my best attempt at a walaround Wink

This model is full of nice details, so I apologize for the many pictures.
They are not all very good, - my camera has it's own will when it comes to focussing on details Rolling Eyes

Anyway, I know y'all are kind and positive people, and I have done my best Embarassed

First of all : The species !
At first I thought that he must be a Porcupine Caribou , but ok, no, he isn't Laughing

According to the catalogue, it is a Woodland Caribou, or Boreal Carebou rendeer

The thing that raises this model almost to the sky - in spite of the rather slobby paintwork - is the fabulous antlers !

But let's look at some other details first Wink

And now the antlers - Let me say it right now : The antlers are glued or clicked on !
But it is done so discretely that I did not see it before I was redigating the close-ups Wink

One thing I love very much it that the antlers are not mirrored, - they sides are different cheers

He has the most beautyful face, - and those eyes drunken

One of the best non-equine models from CollectA this year IMHO cheers

That's a magnificent figure with lots of great details and a very good general shape. I just love it and luckily you're helping me to get one of them! bounce

I believe he works nicely with your vintage reindeers that you acquired recently. Very Happy

Thanks for that porcupine caribou link, I don't remember reading about that subspecies before, silly me, trying to find a good reason to the name porcupine and it is just because of a river. Very Happy
