This is from Minizoo's latest newsletter, Copied from the Dino Toy Forum

Sneek Peek
Something wild and uniquely Australian is on the way.. we're very excited to announce, in conjunction with Australian Age of Dinosaurs, the upcoming release of a super high quality, specialist range of Australian Dinosaur figures. The first model in the series is Australovenator Wintonesis - nicknamed “Banjo”, the most complete carnivorous Australian dinosaur ever found and the first detailed model of the species ever created. We're thrilled to be able to share an unpainted prototype today...

And What Minizoo Has to say about it

Quote :

Hi all, wow I can see that this is definitely generating some interest. We are also really pumped about this range, especially being a specifically Australian species. I can't give everything away at the moment out of respect for the AAoD who is developing the range but I can share the following:

  • the models are plastic, solid body[/li]

  • there are currently 4 models in the pipeline[/li]

  • the coin in the Banjo picture is an Australian 50c piece which is 3.1cm tall or 1.25inches, making Banjo approx 8.5cm or close to 3.5 inches tall [/li]

  • the models are designed via computer modelling and 3D printed prior to mass production as opposed to traditional clay sculpting methods allowing exceptionally high detail [/li]

  • they will be supplied painted, safety tested for over 3 years of age and 'will have as much detail as Papo' if not more so[/li]

Please email me on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].au to register your interest be added to our contact list for further updates. Cheers
