Ooops!!! I didn't noticed it either. I need the help of the Administrator here to please transfer it to the proper section, the CollectA.

By the way, there is no code under his foot pad. Laughing

And yeah, I really like the way they design the wings and the posing. CollectA has made a wonderful job here. cheers

Absolutely STUNNING!! It's the best swan yet. So detailed and real looking. I hope I can get this.
How big is it, about the same as Schleich?

Thanks. I am sure, you can get this one also.

Sorry that I couldn't take pictures with the older Schleich Swans as they are not me with me now.

However, these are some photos taken with the two Papo Swans:

Seriously, I haven't compare the size of this CollectA Bison from the Schleich's. But I posted this CollectA and the Papo Bison together last year at LG and the size of the Papo Bison is really so much bigger than that of the CollectA's.

PostSubject: Re: CollectA Swan   CollectA Swan EmptyThu Sep 14, 2017 10:20 am

Yes, i also think this is the best mute swan. 2010? On my swan is marked 2008.
The second place is the Schleich swan with wings open. He is from 2007, so Schleich need a new one.

The Papo swan looks fat and strange, and the black one is simply a repainted mute swan, with missing white wings. Other swans have bases, and i don't like bases. For small birds, a base is ok, but not for bigger birds.

CollectA Swan Empty
PostSubject: Re: CollectA Swan   CollectA Swan EmptyThu Sep 14, 2017 10:49 am

I love when old topics are revived and try to check how things changed allong all these years. :)
To be fair, nothing changed, except one thing, this glorious mute swan also continues being my favorite, it is a pure expercise of inspired talent from the sculptor. Swans are magnificent animals and it is not easy to make it look graceful when turned in a toy, though, CollectA did it.
I was then, already a CollectA enthusiast, even if it was just the ugly duckling on forum. A brand that was able of doing a figure like this one could never be ignored or chased. Now, that CollectA is a grown up company, now we all know it is not anymore a ugly duckling but a magnificent swan. Some fairy tales are widely known but their messages seem to be not always very well assimilated. study

Collecta could make the other swan species (trumpeter, whooper, black, blacknecked etc.) now, but please, no base, please.
