I thought I'd posted some general finds before, but couldn't find them. Laughing

I went to a flea market in Orlando where I used to find buckets of figures for my daughter when she was small. Sadly there weren't many there, and I got bawled out by one man whose figures were expensive when I offered him a lower price, like what the other vendors were asking. I think he needs anger management classes and to sell on eBay instead of car-trunk and a sheet on the ground flea markets.  I did find a few things though.

My sister and I went to an enormous (one of the biggest in the world Shocked ) orchid show south of Miami a few weeks ago. While we were there, we went to a flea market. There were many many animal figures there, I couldn't even go through them all. After the not so good luck with the markets by me, I was pleasantly surprised. I did pick up a few things, and was shocked to find a bunch of cheap Breyers. I could have bought a carload, but only had about $15 to spend.

Some generic figures, I liked the cheesy sea dragon figure. cyclops  And wasn't someone looking for the Diego maned wolf and tapirs? Plus the Arab stallion, I think this is the same one as I bought my mother years ago. The boxer looked like he'd be fun to repaint, and maybe the dingo too.

Breyers! The dogs too, sadly they didn't have the border collie just these ones. And another cougar to go with my daughter's (I repaired his ear, but haven't repainted it) I gave the little bay Arab stablemate to my mom.

All of these will be for sale/trade, except for the sea dragon, the Arabs, and maybe the llama.

But you don't collect Breyers! affraid lol!

Congratulations, great finds Very Happy It's hard to find SMs at flea markets here, which is a shame, because I love buying them up for bodies.

Karin, the sable/white running dog is definitely a Shetland Sheepdog. He has the narrower Sheltie head and huge coat. When I saw the dogs, I hoped- there is a Border Collie in this Breyer series- but the vendor didn't have it. Maybe when I can hit a big flea market a few hours away later this summer, I can find one. Maybe I can make it back down to that flea market south of Miami one day too- it's only 4 hours or so... *whistles innocently*

It is sad how expensive shipping has gotten. I used to be able to ship to Europe not too expensively 10 or so years ago, but anymore the shipping is sometimes much more than the item is worth sadly. Too bad.

LeeAnn, usually Breyers are expensive around here if you can find them at all. I've been very surprised at my recent luck finding them- first that Quarter horse foal here and then all those dogs, Stablemates, and cougar down south cheap. Rarely I used to find them at thrift stores, but anymore most around here throw the toys they're donated away instead of selling them. Rolling Eyes They say it isn't worth the work picking up after children who play with them in the store.
