Kaiyodo CapsuleQ Ural owl: A walkaround by Kikimalou

The Ural owl (Strix uralensis) is a medium-sized nocturnal owl found from Scandinavia to japan and Sakhalin isle. The northern border is at approximately 65 degrees north latitude, and the southern border follows the southern delimitation of the taiga.

It superficially looks like a Tawny owl but it is much larger with of wingspan from 110 to 134cm.

It is a very aggressive owl, chasing other birds of prey from its territory, and it will attack human intruders, especially when young are present.



Despite it’s great range in real life, this beautiful owl is rare in the toys forests. Only Kaiyodo made one for Furuta in 1999 and 2002, the only change was the color.
