PostSubject: Two tiny guinea pigs   Sun Nov 22, 2015 7:38 pm

It took me a while to decide whether or not to post these, as they're not realistic at all, nor really meant to be so. Razz Still, they're animals, and they're homemade, so here goes nothing, ahah.

I started them on Friday, as I was working on a couple of custom horses and ended up with quite a bit of left over clay. I didn't want it to go to waste, so I made these little critters. Very Happy I left them to dry, painted them on Saturday and photographed them today. They were just meant as a fun way to unwind, so I didn't look up references or anything - they are made from memory.

With the Bullyland hedgehog, who came to meet the tiny guys Very Happy

With a AA battery for scale, because I couldn't find anything better. My friend asked for me to show them with a banana, but I didn't have one of those either  Laughing

That was a good idea and they look lovely! Very Happy
I am glad your friend haven't decided to tell you to use a watermelon instead. Laughing
AA battery is a very good idea once it is a standard sized thing and with it and the Bullyland hedgehog we can see that your Guinea pigs are tiny. Shocked Better than a battery ... só uma bolota! Laughing

Thank you!! cheers cheers

Roger, they'd barely be visible on top of a watermelon, they are so tiny! Laughing And yes, I thought using something well-known would be a good idea. The other option was a SD card, but I needed that to take the photos Very Happy
Estes porquinhos não gostam de bolotas - só de alface Wink

I found photos of two I made back in 2013, these ones modelled after my real piggies. Very Happy

Sorry for the tiny photos - I found them in an old forum entry, and I don't know if I have the originals anymore!

Laughing Those are also Portuguese words. Bolota means acorn. Bolo means cake and lotas are the places in a port where fish is sold for the first time... auction. Beautiful names indeed. Very Happy
