For a long time I was looking for the grey classics mammuth. I did have the black one, but didn`t see the grey one on Ebay.
However, before christmas I got another great prehistoric classic, - the last one of the brightly coloured dinos, and I was very happy
Then last month they suddenly appeared in great hordes on Ebay.de. Lots and lots !!!!!
It was a bittersweet feeling to see so many of my painfully collected gems for sale
There were sets with all the dinos + the mammuth, and they were also sold separately.
After a while the prices fell, obviously the marked was saturated.
So I bought a set of them all. Hurray, inclusive the grey mammuth. So now I have both :

Here you can see the ones I had before, nice with subdues colours, and then the new ones.
The seller had told me, she had found 190 of them on a fleamarket !

But then I discovered that they were marked differently. They had the Schleich-mark on them, and not the old Bendie-mark :

According to Gascher`s the grey mammuth and the coloured dionoes were made in the years 79 - 90, and the black mammuth 91-94. But the oldest ones surely look very new....
