Besides liking dinosaurs, I also like entomology and things that go bump in the night!  I thought I'd share some photographs I've taken of some creepy crawlers from the past couple of years!  I hope they make your skin crawl!  LOL, get it?!   (J/K.....  I think?)

Thank you LeeAnn. Its amazing what you can find in your own back yard. Most of these mantis photos were taken within a few hundred feet of my home! I find them to be such fascinating creatures!!!

Praying mantises! I love those! <3 My first experience was in Spain, got one on my hand and it looked so cool! (A wild one.) Second was also in Spain, as I saved one from a small pool. Poor thing was exhausted from trying not to drown. He/she made it though

Seeing baby mantises with nest must be a treasure to find.
How are they called? Larvae?

Thank you for saving that poor creature.  I also love mantises!  I thought I was the only one that saved insects trapped in a swimming pool.  

Mantis young are called nymphs.  Larvae is the title used for the young of butterflies, moths, beetles, etc.  Nymphs resemble their adult counterparts while larvae do not and go through a cycle called complete metamorphosis.  (Egg, larvae, pupa, and adult stage)

I try to do my best :3 I know most girls scream and don't even try to touch an insect, where as I look fascinated at them.
Ok, spiders creep me out sometimes.
But when one found in the house, I move it to the shed, so it can hunt and do his/her own thing there XD

Curious what insect laid that cluster of eggs on that leaf?

PS: I also like your cat photos! My daughter loves cats and there was one pic that looks like one of ours!
