PostSubject: The last from The Big Box   Wed Mar 30, 2011 9:58 pm

Today I got through the last of the contents of The BIG Box. Got them cleaned and took a closer look
Here are the last ones I want to keep. I will not put then in seperate strings, because it won`t make sence.

This guy is from Bullyland and he is really big, he weighs almost 250 g !
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

More Bullyland. The kittens were so happy that the bucket turned over on the way ;-)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

A little old Lynx together with one I got last year. He has REALLY been played with, but I think he is much more cute than the newer one.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Elefants from Safari !
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

A little fox and a little wolf from Safari. I wonder if they are from the Authentics-series ? The newer Safari-fox to the left to show the size.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Small hippo and one more pig. Both from Safai
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Two monkeys from Play Vision
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

This guy has had a tough life ! He will be safe with me.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

AAA, - my orango-mom got more babies to look after LOL
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Thanks for looking, - I promise, - no more Big Box stuff now Laughing

Thanks Sylvia and Harriet flower sunny

Yes, the little hippo is cute, isn`t he ? He almost disapeared in between all the large AAAs.
The seller had used the best part of a telephome book to pack each figuere, so I went through all that paper again and again to make sure I did not overlook anything, - almost missed the hippo as he is grey and little Shocked

I love that Orangutan also, Harriet. And the way the baby squirms to avoid being kissed Laughing
She was not part of the box, though, I got her a while ago.

I love those also, they stand in the window (north, sun is never good for plastic) and I enjoy the sight several times a day, thay make me smile Very Happy

It is really interesting to hear which figueres people prefer, there is room for all of them Very Happy

Roger, yes, that little fox. Perhaps it is the one that Schleich sold in ´93 as "Authentics".
At least it is the same mould and a bit primitive colouring. I think they are SO charming, but unfortunately usually quite expensive Sad
So I was VERY happy to find those two, the wolf and the fox in the box , - ha, ha, that is his name from now on : The Fox in the Box Laughing

Thanks for your information about the fox in the box! :)
In fact it was a unknown series for me, I've found a picture of the Schleich fox in the Deutsch Encyclopedia of animal figures....
she looks like walking in the Wonderland but is very funny!

PostSubject: Two packages from Portugal again   Thu Mar 31, 2011 8:42 pm

What would this forum be without Roger, the fantastic, funny, friendly, lovable, Portuguese Crocobert I love you Very Happy I love you flower sunny
It would only be half a Forum Shocked

Today I got a package form Roger, - WOW ! bounce bounce cheers sunny
We had done some trading, but most of the figueres are gifts !
Roger, you will ruin yourself this way Shocked

In the top of the package was Hindberta. It was very touching to see the little family united a last Sad Very Happy

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Westie immediately found someone to talk to, - the little Pigberta was very impressed that her mom dared to speak to a Danish dog :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The piggies are made by Shing Hing, and so is this impressive African elefant
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

This wonderful wolf is from Papo :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

And, - look, see ! The black Buffalo from Papo !
Like many of Papo`s figueres he is just SO much more impressive in real "life" than on pictures !
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

From the top of my Wish List !!!! :
May I introduce : The Papo-mandrillbert !!! cheers
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

But, - perhaps the best of all, - no. Not perhaps, - THE most wonderful Bullyland Procynosuchus cheers cheers
Brandnew from the Museum of Korbach !
The Procynosuchus lived app 250 MILLION years ago. Fossiles had been found in Africa, and it was determined that it was one of the very first ancestors of mammals.
Then one day in 1988 it was discovered that the Procynosuchus had also lived in what is now Europe. In the Korbacher Spalte remains was found, which proved that Europe and Africa was one continent then !!!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The Procynosuchus was the size of a large Dachshound and he could live both on land and in water, - just like a crocodile Very Happy Wink

This is the most presious figure in my little and slowly, - but steadyly -growing collection of Bullyland Prehistoric figueres.

THANK YOU ROGER king cheers flower I love you sunny

Great box with nice stuff Susanne!
The lying gorilla is a big guy as you said, but she is female... Laughing
The fox and wolf to the right are both made by safari Ltd, but are exactly the same as the Schleich authentics, because they were made by Safari for Schleich in those days, and sold under license.
I think they are still produced, and to be found in many colour-variations because of that.
Here are mine to compare.

Susanne! I'm glad you are happy! Very Happy
Don't worry because a crocodile can be more happy in his ruins than some kings in their castles! :)

Love your pics, stagbert looks really happy to see Hindberta, maybe is too much work for a male to take care of a Fawnbert???Wink I love you rendeer
That's right, Procybert has something special, maybe its story, no?
...and it's always nice to send a Bullyland figure to someone that already sent me a lot of Bullylanders! cheers I love you Very Happy

Thank you Sylvia and Christophe flower

Ha, ha, no problem to think of another series Laughing
I still have not been able to complete my little Bully Forest-series. The badger was on Ebay, but in a "lot" of many nice figueres, so it became much too expensive Crying or Very sad

Well, it is ok to have something to be looking for even if the long, cold winter nights are almost over Laughing
