Repaint and customization of Schleich horse - First one

Hello,

I am very interested in painting and customizing existing models.  I used to do this as a child with my plastic horses, I just never realized that other people were doing it as well.  So here is my first attempt as an adult.  Arabian Stallion 13629 was the original.



 To be honest I am not crazy about the original, I only purchased it because it came with the vet at a very good price.  I made a few adjustments to the Schleich model, changed the tail, adjusted the one leg slightly and carved and adjusted the ears and eyes.  I then gave him a much longer and fuller mane.  The I repainted him a liver chestnut with flaxen mane and tail.  I am pleased with him for a first attempt, although there are a lot of rookie mistakes.  HEre he is standing beside my Papo Arabian in parade dress.
