I don't collect Traditionals, because of lack of space, but this one will be maybe an exception ;-)

I love that it is a very delicate sculpt, the insertion point of the tail is minimal and ears are also gently sculpted. I love the expression, pose and natural looking! What breed does it represents?

You're absolutely right, the sculpt is delicate, it's masterpiece.

Yes, KWPN is Dutch Warmblood (Royal Dutch Warmblood) and sorry, I didn't realize that KWPN is not so common.

Some horses don't have chestnuts but I can see that the real Valegro does Not sure!

Valegro are going to have the honour of being my first model with a base. Hopefully he is better than Keltec Salinero, Huckleberry Bey and Totilas on that front. I think he is a very lovely sculpture in a nice dark colour. And I just love that he actually have a lot of white. So boring with ordinarily bays without it. Especially as his socks are so uneven. I really like that. I do hope he doesn't show of any weird and IRL painful movement like Totilas does. I'm really not good enough to know that.

I wonder what other colours he will come in? Tobiano? Palomino? Grey? Flaxen? Maybe sabino chestnut or even a leopard or spotted blanket? So many colours that probably will suit him very well.

He's super sturdy, and I'm not a fan of bases but this one is awesome.

From what I've been able to find, there are 3 domestic breeds which seldom have leg chestnuts on the hind legs - Banker Horse, Caspian Pony, and Icelandic Horse.  Wild asses and zebras have chestnuts only on the forelegs.

Seems to me I've read about a rare breed of horse which has no chestnuts on any leg, but I can't remember which breed.  I'll have to go looking through my reference books.
