| Rohling steht für: ein Werkstück – ein vorgefertigtes Stück, das für die Weiterverarbeitung bestimmt ist oder den Entwurf eines Objekts. Perhaps when a production is at the end, some figures left without painting. Thes figures where thrown away. But some workers at the fabric takes this figures out of the wasting basket and take them at home and some years later they earn a lot of money to sell them at Ebay. Some Rohlinge are tests how to look an other paint ore a test if it better to paint by hand ore by airbrush. |

| *Rohling* is usually simply the term for an unpainted production PVC Figure.
Then there are *Test-shots* who can look similar, but are made to test the molds - those are often made in strange colors and are left unpainted.
*Hardcopies* are direct Resin copies of the handcrafted Prototypes. They are usually sharper in detail than the production PVC Figures and about 10% bigger in size.
*Paint Samples* or *Paint Masters* are handpainted *Hardcopies* that are used for the Pictures in the Catalogue, and for showing on Toy-Fairs, as PVC Figures of the new stuff are often not produced, yet until that point.
*Prototypes* are the handcrafted / sculpted original Artworks wich are sadly almost always destroyed or badly damaged during the moldmaking for the *Hardcopies*.
Cheers, Barricade :) |

| I have some unpainted Reisler, too, - they must be Rohlings also ? I like the black panther [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]These small ones we children could dig out of packages with washing powder.I think that was when the descent of Reisler started. They were the ones everyone knew and they were not very impressive, alas [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
