My Ark is built and my first animals have arrived !

So lets see if I can work out how to post pictures

I am so impressed with the quality of these little guys, I think this is the beginning of a serious addiction

Here they are just checking out the new accommodation, although I plan to let my collection roam the shelf until I run out of space.

I am completely eclectic so whatever "takes my fancy" gets the next stall on the Ark, but one of the rules is, no animal is allowed on board (or onto the forum) until it has a mate

Awesome job fluffySlippers! I really like that Ark! I personally would suggest the Zebras next - beautiful models! Happy Schleich hunting! You're in good company :-)

I love Indian Rhinos they are such an unbelievable animal, and I think also the image of Durers Rhinoceros sticks in my mind (I can't work out how to put a link to the picture   )
 
My "rules" say all animals have to be Schleich, and they don't make a male and female version of this rhinoceros, so...............

I'm wasn't sure if this was going to work, but I'm pleased, the two versions are subtly different, I'm not sure about the green colour of the older version, I was thinking of removing it, but it's growing on me.

The older version has to be the female, she has a lovely Mona Lisa smile.

Beautiful and a wonderful ark too.

Never noticed the differences in the faces of the Indian rhinos.
They make a lovely pair and and a good addition to the ark

What is next? Maybe some lions?

I also collects pairs of species but I collect all brands because schleich is limited. I'm telling you now it is an addiction.

419 pairs... 838 individual animals... Species... Breeds... Alive... Extinct...

Its definitely an addiction , and I enjoy collecting families/pairs or making herds where possible I feel it gives more meaning/value to the figures . Displaying the figures and making Dioramas becomes more creative too !!

PS Checking TAI, - the smiling one is no 14025 from 1989, and the newer one is no 14183 from 2000

No babies until after the ark has landed..................well there may have to be a couple of exceptions to this where the babies come attached to the mother !
