When I was taking pictures of my AAA figurines, I noticed that some figurines had numbers on them. Most of these numbered figurines are figurines of which different models are made. For instance, baby tigers: they made around 3 different models of them (same colour) from the same series. So maybe they numbered all the same species that belong to the same series scratch

I am looking at my cubs from different big feline species right now XD

Tiger cub (same as you got): Number 4

Lion cub (same as tiger cub mold): Number 1
Lion cub standing (same as the tiger cub mold): Number 2

Black panther cub has number 1

Hope theis helps a bit and I think it has to do something with the series indeed!
(Cheetah cubs have no number, at least I can't find them XD)

Maybe I could split this topic and open a new dedicated to AAA Wild Cats? I think you're introducing an interesting point. I had no idea they were numbered and it could simplify things a little.
I only have the head-turned lynx but it is a customized figure. cat
