| Hello friends !!. I start another new figure, which really is an update of one that I did a long time ago for the extinct species section, although it could well be in the pleistocene fauna. It is the tarpan (equus ferus). I wanted to make an updated version of another animal representative of the fauna of the northern hemisphere. | The figure is moving forward and I have changed the dynamic posture that was very similar to the galloping bison priscus I did a while ago, for another more relaxed walking ... | Kosta is right, we commented here how Tarpans are neglected on toy animal industry. Here is the previous standing Tarpan and I am looking forward to see how this model will look. |

| Well, I thought it was time to update the figure and give it a more natural perspective. The first tarpan was much more static and I think that over time new techniques for modeling will be learned. Thank you very much friends, I'm glad you like this idea ! _________________ Miguel [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Likaon - Wildlife Models Shop http://www.likaonmodels.com/ My homemade models : www.signatustudio.com |

Thank you Roger !.The eyes are little balls of steel. Very useful for making eyes. They are of different sizes and can be used depending on the size or scale of the figure. _________________ Miguel [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Likaon - Wildlife Models Shop http://www.likaonmodels.com/ My homemade models : www.signatustudio.com |

BIG THANKS for this magnific idea! I always had problem with sculpting eyes in my figures and tryimg to make them rounded and smooth. I must supply myself with a bunch of small metal beads for next occasions! :) _________________ My collection:- (Details):

| Thank you Caracal and Taos ! The new figure of the tarpán (equus ferus) already finished. It would lack the job of painting it and giving it shades of color. This is an update of the figure of the same animal that I made six years ago. As you can see this resin has burned a little with the heat, but the high temperatures cause it to harden more and be less fragile [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]_________________ Miguel [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Likaon - Wildlife Models Shop http://www.likaonmodels.com/ My homemade models : www.signatustudio.com |

| Thank you friends , I am happy that you are liking how the figure looks . I have tried to represent him with a different posture than normal, walking and with his head sniffing the ground while the breeze blows him aside. As in my previous figure of megaloceros I will add a base to the figure of the tarpán that can give option to expose the figure with or without it. | Thanks for your kind words Kosta I have finished painting the figure of the tarpan (equus ferus), according to some specialists it would be better called equus ferus ferus, but that is a subject of specialists in which I do not consider myself qualified to enter. I wanted to represent the typical shape and coat of the tarpan that lived in Europe until recently. With its characteristic erect mane and shaggy tail, in addition to its ashy fur, its mule stripe and its zebra stripes on front and rear legs. | Wonderful Miguel! You got the black markings correctly and it is crucial to determine that a wild horse is a wild horse. When these markings are found in a domesticated breed, they're known as primitive markings what explains everything. The detail with the fur is fabulous and the way this horse carries his body is absolutely poetic! |
