PostSubject: My Music Teachers Carnegie Collection    Sun Jul 17, 2016 2:14 am

These are the figurines that My Music Teacher owned back in the late 90s early 2000s. She is the reason i got into collecting expensive dinosaur figurines, as opposed to cheap ones from the dollar shop. Keep in mind, these individual pieces were not her models, but they are the same ones i recall from her desk back when i was at Richardson elementary. I also included figurines that were not present at her desk, but were released during the 90s. All of these will be worth a fortune someday. As the Carnegie Collection went extinct in early 2015. Figurines released during the 21rst century will not be preseant in this thread

First off is the Brachiosaurus

Next up is the Apatosaurus which is the only one of four models in the line to have a baby counter part. Unlike those other models, this ones baby was sold seperatly because Adult Sauropods did not care for there young once they were born

Those are two very popular ones and as everything that is popular, time could be cruel. They look already very vintage but I think it makes them more special. Very Happy

I like very much the colors of the triceratops.
Was the ankylosaur one of the rare Euoplocephalus that was sold as an Euoplocephalus instead of as an ankylosaurus? It seems there was some confusion between these two during a certain time. scratch

Yes,it was specifically identified on it's tag and on the model itself as Euoplocephalus. Smile

Thanks, that's interesting to know. Afterall, Carnegie, as the name indicates, is a museum collection. These details make all the difference in my opinion. Very Happy
