 New photos of the African and Indian dioramas

PostSubject: New photos of the African and Indian dioramas   Wed Feb 23, 2011 1:16 pm

I put some of the new palms and other plants on the diorama to get some photos. Most of them still have to be touched up, some painting both of the fronds and bases have to be done, the skirts of dead fronds have to be finished, things like that. Still I wanted to see what they looked like on the diorama. I also made a Proteas from South Africa, it is a large and very colorful group of plants that are common in both the florist industry and peoples gardens.

Here are two photos of the Proteas, the first one is the whole bush, the second is a close up of the flower. There are so many species of Proteas, but all of them have a flower group that is made up of hundreds to thousands tiny flowers in the center of a very colorful bract. I chose this one because it is common in S. African and has a very large flower so it looked good in scale.

Makes me want to go walking in your diorama, it looks so real and beautiful. I love the Proteas bush the flowers are gorgeous on it.

I have to say from personal experience tha he is insanely good at what he does. I have many of his masterpieces.
