interesting photos.....did you buy them used from a secondhand store or have you had them a long time from brand new?

I've had them all for a very long time, fear not for the life of my new schleich, I don't play with them anymore :) uhhh a movie, she was shaggy so it kindof fitted. Austin Powers was the movie.

You could learn to make the same with your images, now I can't find but there is a topic explaining it!

Yes, some of us collect CollectA and many horse collectors are interested in new 2010 and 2011 CollectA horses! I only have some wild and forest animals from CollectA!

I'm mainly interested in the horses, elk, buffalo, moose and possibly dogs. Depends on how much they appeal to me and how much $ I have!

You can find some pictures of this figures in the forum! Anyway where do you can find the CollectA figures? Is it available in your town?

My town has the most of two thousand people-no schleich or collectA. I've never even seen a CollectA in person! :( Darn my luck, I was thinking of buying them over time off of the internet. :) Thanks Roger for helping me.

May i ask did the paint get so rubbed. they look kinda neat like that. like shes an old grey mare

I remember playing with her way back when and even then she was supposed to be the lead mare, older! Her ear piece missing is a nice effect lol I always thought she looked like she had been bitten by a coyote or something else lol

It is wonderful to see figueres that have been played with and loved like yours have

There are probably (hopefully) others who don`t mind that their old friends are looking their age

Some of my old Reisler are missing a leg, tail or - the elefant - some of the trunk, but I love them and have been looking after them for half a century

The white pony broke a leg. I tried to repair it with clay and a match, but the match broke, too, -so that pony is ol` Tripod

The German Shepheard`s clay-leg was smaller, so it still supports her. She was of course the wise, old head of the farm animals

Poor Efefant was so unfortunate to be discovered by some horrible brats ! But I would never part with her, I even had a bad concience when recently I bougt a not-handicapped elefant at an auktion

They seem to take on a character of their own, I may not have very many schleich but I've certainly left my mark on them as a child. :D

The rubs on the first horse accually looks realy good, I think I like that color better than the original

Ye, I think many of us have a few figures that, even thou they are severely rubbed and broken, we love very much

I have, as far as I can recall right now, three animals that I hold extra close.

One is a made in china black and white cow. She is named "rosa" (one of the few I have named) and was one of the very first animals I got, at a age of four
She is misscolored and rubbed, but she is very special for me.

The other one is a little grey dog I got when I was about 8 or 9. I always thought it looked so sad, and when I played with my animals I used to put it near a street lamp, like it was a stray, al alone at night.

The thirs is an old britains horse. It had lost one of it´s front legs, so I used a pipe cleaner as a leg, and somehow it bacame one of my favorite horses (I think I felt sad for it )

Unfortunetly, right now it´s kinda hard for me to find those three little animals amongst my "little" collection of over 6000 animals

But I know they are there somewere

Wow, that's one well played with Holstein mare! this figure is one of my favourites along with the thoroughbred. Whoever designed them captured the horse wonderfully.

Your figurines are unique! I love the Holstein mare :)

Well Arrakai I counted mine again today and came up with 230, soon to be 233 :)
They sound very special :D I keep Bliss in close company.

HK I most deffinitely agree with you there, I'm getting the thouroughbred soon and have always admired it!

SyLoBe thank you :) I love her too! To me she's always looked dusty like a loyal trail companion that is really old!

Great photos of your collection, Sarah. "Vintage" figurines have simply received more love down through the years, so they are of great value, too...

Great collection of well loved animals. Thanks for the photos. I have several rubbed animals as well. That just gives them character.
