Holstein Calf - made in Bosnia!

The new 2016 calf that came with the Large Farm is made in Bosnia. Is this a new factory for Schleich?

and so is the Cow! The Bull is made in China

along with the Hereford Calf and Cow. Again, the Bull is made in China.

Correction before - the Holstein came with the Cow Family on the Pasture set (41428) and the Hereford Calf and Cow came with the Large Farm (42333).

Do you have pictures?

Made in Bosnia is also new for me. I've read that Schleich was manufacturing in some other countries but I've never seen a made in Bosnia figure yet. Pictures would be great indeed.

I have bought the 2016 small Schleich farm and the brown cow and calf are also made in Bosnia. I,m not sure what breed they are supposed to be, but I think maybe they are going to be a Limousine cow and calf? The Holsteins on pasture and the light brown cow with the silo are marked "Schw Gmund", so I will guess they are made in Germany. The plastic in this cows also feels more rubbery than the animals not bought in a set. I will compare them to the Shire stallion from 2013, only more heavy.

Hello and welcome! Interesting post. Much probably, different factories may represent slight differences in material quality. I am not too much in Farm theme, so I don't know these sets. Could you please point me to that set you're asking the cattle breed?

They are both unicolored bown and the only breed they reminds me of is Limousines:scratch: But I might be wrong:study:Does anyone know?

Do enyone else see something strange with the cows tits? It looks like her tits has been formed with a drilll or something. It,s the same thing withe the brown cow in the new 42334 barn-set that I have purchased. My 2016 simmentalcow and the holstein cow in the 41428 on pasture-set, does not look like this.

Maybe you're right but I believe Schleich didn't want to assign them to a specific breed. I only have seen it in official pictures. Maybe they'll introduce them in standard range in future and give them a breed name. Simmentals can be solide color but those from Schleich barn miss the characteristic white face or they could also work as simmentals. I hope someone could be of help.

Surely that' not the reason! It is just a question of cheap work force. Just check the countries where they're manufactured... except Germany that is the home country. Fortunately Birtish workers have good sallaries so no Schleich manufacturing there. :)

Grrrrrrrr brexit!! I hope this is not the case! And if it is I hope scotland gets one if we go independent!

Yes ! That is certainly a blow to collectors...now we are going to have the same darned problem with getting stuff from UK as we have with USA and Asia
