| Hi guys, This is what I worked on over the weekend. This is a GI Joe bobcat figure called Max. Originally he looks like this: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Given I have the brown one and yellow/orange also decided to give him a new color. Not sure if grey bobcats exist but nevertheless I wanted this grey tone for my arctic display shelf. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I am glad you decided to share your work! Not only because we can see your ability but also because you can give us an overview of these GI Joe figures. I think they are very interesting once they give us a different interpretation of these animals and break with the more static figures from common companies. Bobcats can be gray, of course they have their unique markings and we have to study them carefully if we want to represent the exact species. They're actually very similar with our Iberian lynxes, hoever, our creature is more spectacular with longer beards and ear tufts and often a more contrasting fur pattern. One thing I am sure, This company knows much better what is a lynx than Chap Mei. |

| They know now you should check Bobcat Max from the 80s its a ridiculous figure. I bought the figure mostly because of him and he looked so cool on artwork from the package. Was a disappointed when I saw the actual figure.
This one is much better. |

| Oh I have no idea and this is not supplied with the original figure. There is a bio but for the figure only. These are only sidekicks and not much details is given on it other then it is bobcat. There are 13 subspecies of bobcat according to wikipedia so hard to tell which ones they tried to recreate. |

| Andreas wants to know which animal species can be found among GI Joes. The bobcat is not surely intending to represent any particular subspecies, it is just a bobcat (Lynx rufus) what is already more than good once most lynxes are just called lynx and we often need to find which of the 4 species is represented. I know there are wolves, several dogs and some more but it is not easy to see in the link you provided once we are not used with GI Joe collections. |
