we have now Two Basilosaurus in two consecutive years !! HOME RUN !!

I was very impressed with the new Basilosaurus from PNSO this year.
Hopefully this one from CollectA will be more affordable for me, so I can have a mighty crazy looking killer Eel on my shelf as well.

According to everythingdinosaur.uk it will be 35 cm long.

It's not deluxe.

It's a non scale figure .. Mike at Everything Dinosaur made an excellent presentation and mentioned it's approximately 1:50 scale .. the PNSO Basilosaurus figure is 1:40 scale

CollectA Basilosaurus Measurements

The model measures over 35 cm long and it is approximately 3 cm high. The very large size of a fully grown Basilosaurus has meant that, for practical reasons, CollectA were unable to make this figure to the same scale as the terrestrial models in their range. The model is described by CollectA as “extra-large”, since it is longer than the CollectA Deluxe Feathered T. rex, this description does not do this fantastic figure justice. As for a scale, we estimate that a male of the species could reach a length of around 18 metres, this would make the CollectA Basilosaurus to be around the 1:50 scale mark.

I would be very happy to take one in my hands.

Smaller than the PNSO one, ok but I like very much the pose, less tortured than the previous one.

Fantastic presentation! I find it interesting that the huge PNSO version is actually 1:40 scale. That being said, they're both good figures within a realistic size range for a 1:40 model. The CollectA version could be a female or calf.

The PNSO figure is almost 50 cms in length ( but fits in well with the 1:40 scales for display or diorama purposes ) and yes they both can compliment each other ( and not forgetting the tiny safari toob Basilosaurus... which can also be displayed with these two )
