That is probably since 2017 is the year of rooster. Similar to Schleich's year of the horse model a few years ago.

Just it is strange, because it look`s like Golden rooster ..
and this year is the Year of the Fire Rooster.
The year of the Golden or Metal Rooster will be 2041 Very Happy

But let`s say, that this one it look`s like Fire too Very Happy
