My Schleich customs

I´ve seen people show their customs here, and I want to show some of what I do too. I hope you like them! (All of them are Schleich models)

First of all: my very first custom! I know, it´s not very well done, but weh, it was the first and nobody tought me. It´s a French saddle mare, she was suposed to be white tickling buckskin but she become more light bay with strange mane and tail color xD

This one is a little foal I turned into a jet black sabino frame. No much more to say, I think it´s very cute ^^

The next one is a replica of a horse I used to ride. Not black, no bay, but a brown black!. We call it "bocifuego" in Spanish

And a rare breed! At least I found it rare since I hadn´t hear about it untill a pair of years ago. I likd it and voilà: an Altai pony mare!

This one was a commission. You will recognize the mold, but pay attention: there´s something different. Not difficult to find!

As I love so much this mold and this breed, I had to repaint a Hanoverian stallion! And I tried something new for me: greys and dappples. I´m quite happy with the result.

And the cutiest in my gallery! At least I think so:P The Falabella, repainted into a leopard blankett buckskin American Miniature horse

And the newest: more elaborated, I added wings, bigger sheath and a bit more hair in mane (all done by me):

Gorgeous ! I can see you really know about horses.

Very courageous to make a brown-black horse. It is PERFECT !
In many breeds a real jet-black is indeed the exception, but most figueres are just black, - easier to make, I suppose

I also love the blue eyes combined with the wide blaze, - more common in black horses, though

Here is my little "Spotty". He is not an Altai pony, but a miniature Knabstrupper, - a Danish breed

Was it made from a real model, I mean after a real horse ?

Awww what a cute thing! I´ve never seen before a miniature Knabstrupper. I want one like this!

Yes, the model was a real mare. She also has several white hairs among the coat hairs, as if she was white tickling, but they are not very visible. And you can´t see it very well in the photo, but she has little white areas at flanks.

We think she´s minimal sabino because of that and because of her parents, but it´s difficult to say.

Sure!! I liked this so much and I´m working in a serie of equine color genetics charts. They are not completed, I only have few; but I don´t have much time now to do them! Maybe I could post them somewhere in the forum?

Thanks a lot!

Well, for wings I used epoxi clay and lots and lots of patience! I sculpted each feather one by one! Next wings will be bat-like xD

You did an amazing job, the detail is incredible. The bat wings sound interesting

Susanne , this pony is so sweet. Ala is also the word, and Asia. They ask whether your.

Yes he is SO cute, - and the favourite of all little girls.
He is very patient with children but we grown ups can`t catch him

He is together with my 3 icelandic mares, and even if he is a tiny little gelding, he is quite sure he is a Shire stallion

Actually he is not really mine. But he came here 6 1/2 years ago. Should only be here for a month or so, - but I have herd nothing from his owner since !!!!! I heard they got divorced, and have no idea where they are.
So I cross my fingers and hope and hope they have forgotten him and will never want him back

Very nice job on the re-paints of the horses, specially the later ones.

Those horse-talks make me dazzling slowly now, all of this stuff that belongs to this breed or another, colours, and eye-colours, and more of that, brrrrr...

Nice pony Susanne, normally i would say that it is a Shetland pony with spots, or something like that, haha...

I know my first customs are not quite good, but I didn´t know anything about painting figurines and I learnt all myself. I think they would be much better with a new painting job, but I like them in that way, they are my firsts customs! And, in that way, I can see my own improving ^^

Those are beautifull, why is that that you not post for so long ? you din't stop custumizing because those horses are great !

I´d be opening new forum entries with my newest customs, so maybe you can find them on the forum. Anyway if people think it´s better to continue on the same post then I´ll post them here!

Very nice repaints!!! They all look very much alive and that's what I think is so important when repainting! I think Genebra is my favorite, lovely spotted pony!
