I bought last month a few figures by Marolin. They have a own online shop and there are available new figures from vintage molds. So we can say that is retro. The same for Lineol, but this figures are mostly soldiers. I dont know if there are more brands like that.

Preiser? And we usually think of Britains as vintage, but it still produces a few farm animals.

Hmmm...Won't it be rather confusing scratch

I never thought of Britains as retro Very Happy
And how many Marolin models do we see ?

Should it be brands that do not make new moulds of animals...that could apply to Bullyland Shocked

Isn't it a bit much to make a section for 2 - 3 brands ?

Sorry if I am the devil's advocate Twisted Evil

I know what you mean, but i think the place in vintage brands is also wrong. Or a own section in modern brands?

If they are Retro, it is because they have a correspoding vintage brand, thus its own section on forum.
I don't see any problem that a new released figure based on an old model is listed under one of the vintage subsections.
If you want to open your own topic only to show your retro additions, you can do it on General Additions thread. Idea

What i mean is that these brands are not really vintage if some of the figures and the brand exist also now. How many collectors know that? I think it is more for a informative charakter.

Sorting sections on a forum is only to have some organization. It is impossible to find a super accurate layout. We have on vintage section brands that are still active and among modern companies some that were already closed. Even the understanding of what is a major company is something completely conventional. For example, I suspect the major company listed on this forum may be Bandaï but we have to adjust to what is the core of the collecting community.
There are many things that collectors find and that they don't know where they belong. It still happens with me too and I am here for so long. For instance, someone that finds an Imperial dog figure from 1974 will tell it is a vintage figure, a modern brand or what? My suggestion is that when you open a new thread, try to use a descriptive tittle, for example, using the word "retro" for a topic about these figures. Someone searching for retro on forum, will be linked to these topics regardless of the place they were opened.
